  1. That would make the most sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I got tired of sending mine back for warranty repairs and waiting many months to get it back, so I got a CK Arms open gun. Much better quality and service from Matt Cheely for the same price point. While I own several other STI guns (a Sentry, Trojan and two edges) that have been great, I’ll never send STI another dime due to my DVC Open experiences. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Chrono is set up in bay 9. Bay 11 is set up as a function test bay. There another test bay in the T Bay area behind the TPC classroom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. At my old club we used Kindle Fire devices. I got them on a special around the holidays for like 20 or 25 bucks a piece. The aren’t as nice as the iPads we use at SUPS but they worked fine for club and level 2 matches. The only problem with the iPads in the desert is they tend to overheat, so you need to keep them in the shade on in a cooler when not scoring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I thought the email I saw said 9/15. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This. I picked up a JP this afternoon and headed to the range. Took it out of the box and it just ran...about 300 rounds without a hiccup. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I live in St George and shoot at SUPS 3-4 times a week. I’ve never noticed sun issues earlier in the day like at Frostproof. As for rain...haven’t seen any since, I don’t know...May? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. It could be some PCC shooters escaping Illinois... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’ve got a buddy who says the Syntech PCC 130 gr stuff is the ticket for the MPX PCC model. I roll my own at about 140 power factor which works great in my gen 2s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have a guy out here in Utah who turned my Shadow 2 around in three days. I had him milk if for a DPP a and appropriate lightening to make weight. I’m sure he could take care of this for you. PM for details. Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That’s a pretty neat idea. I solve the problem differently...I have a magnet mounted on my belt on the off side so I just stick the flag there at make ready. I have a steel key ring on the flag and it stays in place on the magnet almost 100% of the time. I did knock it off once this year during a stage run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have the extractor from ILWT. I really think the extractor spring and donut are more important than the extractor itself. I’d suggest checking chrono and getting your load around 138-140 power factor. I think that is what has helped me the most. I had a lot of rounds on my mags which is why I changed mag springs. Some of the failures I saw were two rounds trying to get into the chamber so my theory was a weak spring on the +10 was causing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’ve got earlier Gen 2 MPXs and have had some issues with FTEs. Things I’ve done to try to fix it...new extractor, frequently changing the extractor spring and insert, stronger mag springs and finally bumping my load to about 140 PF. The little donut under the extractor of later gen 2 MPXs also helps. Be sure to kEep the gas system clean and run it dry. If I had to point to one thing that seems to have had the most benefit it would be increasing the powder charge in my load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Check https://www.cwaccessories.com/ for all the parts and upgrades you may “need” for the gsg. Note: I’m not affiliated in any way, just a happy and frequent customer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The top end has the proprietary parts. I’ve got one top end set up on a Sig stainless elite (minus series 80 parts) lower and it works fine. The GSG is a series 80 so if you want to use a series 70 lower you have to take out the firing pin block parts in the slide. I’ve also got one set up to mimic my 9 major open guns. It has a comp, slide racker and 90* mounted Cmore...it is lighter than my centerfire open guns but works well enough for training and RFPO steel challenge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’ve got three of them. I’ve put a ton of 22 thru them. You will want to check out CW accessories for replacement parts and upgrades. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I’m using RHT. Solid build, good retention, but they are pretty bulky. I’ll keep using them, but interested in opinions on other pouches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Looks like Wilson ETMs to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’d like to check it out at Havana if you bring your PCC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I recently had a 24c fail in the middle of match. Quick email to Hiperfire describing the problem and they had parts to me in 3 days which fixed the problem. Highly impressed by their support. Drop them a line... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I have a DVC Open and a CK open gun. The reason I got the CK is because the DVC was back in Texas getting repaired too frequently and for too long. Yeah, sure, STI pays the shipping both ways. That’s great for as often as you have to sent it back to them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Which is why that guy (me) now has a CK open gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I shot the Florida state match there in January 2017...there was plenty of parking on site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Happy enough with mine that I sold off an AR9 so I could get a backup MPX just in case. I shoot 147 gr Blue Bullets primarily thru it, some plated reloads. I let it get dirty as hell and it still runs. Hiperfire or other upgraded trigger is a must. I've added on a few other bits to make it to my liking...Isler carbon fiber hand guard and a std AR15 buffer tube and stock are the most important changes to me. Mine has ran great thru the JP PCC match in the spring, in one level 2 (Iowa sectional) and 15 level 1 matches this year. As far as mags go I have everything from 20 round mags to a 58 round Taccom splice setup. I've had no problems with Gen 2 mags in my Gen 2 gun, however I've been a bit leery about using the Gen 1 mags in a match. They always seem to work fine in practice but I've not been willing to take that leap in a match. I use both Taylor Freelance and Springer Precision 10 round extensions and also have a couple of the Springer 10 round extensions that built up to a 47 round mag. Works great. I find my classifier mandatory reloads seem way slicker with the MPX compared to any of the Glock based AR9's I had.
