Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Some pictures There is a small protrusion on the right hand side, but no more than 1-2mm at the most.
  2. Thanks for the tips guys - actually ended up spending 15 minutes with a Dremel and some sandpaper and made the Fobus Glock 21 holster fit. The width is perfect, but the controls on the Tanfo are much larger than on the Glock so I had to cut some slots for them, as well as shave off a little next to the right side grip to avoid rubbing. Then a little chamfer on the front to avoid the front sight snagging and we are good to go! The end result is pretty secure, I wouldn't do a cartwheel with it (thankfully I rarely do), but it is plenty good enough for IPSC. Edit: May as well throw up a picture while I'm in a sharing mood
  3. My Limited Custom has a single sided safety from Factory, could always grab a pic of that is you are interested?
  4. 124 grain FMJ, Sellier & Bellot Not tried any 115 grain yet, but at 25 meters I don't think it will make much difference?
  5. Those Dawson sights look good, I will have to see if I can find some of those here in Europe! I can get the Henning stuff here fairly easily, but sadly he only makes a 0.140 height as the shortest. Edit: Still seems strange to me that the original sight should be so far out though... as someone else pointed out, the rear sight now looks rather precariously attached!
  6. It is a fiberoptic sight, so I don't think I can take much off before the fiber risks falling out of the top Seems strange to me that the standard sight setup should need so much adjustment though, is that just manufacturing tolerances?
  7. For some reason the rear sight on my Limited Custom HC needs to be raised all the way up to get my shots on the bulls-eye at 25 meters, and even then it is shooting nearly an inch low. My front sight measures 3.55mm (0.140") from the top to the slide, which from what I gather is normal, and the rear sight is lifted up to what seems like its maximum, which is 2mm up from the slide (measuring the gap between the sight and the slide). Anyone else seen this or is there something strange with my sights?
  8. Hi all! I'm looking for a decent kydex paddle holster for my new Limited Custom HC - wondering if you have any recommendations for something that fits? Preferably from one of the more well known brands, I need to be able to get hold of it here in Europe somewhere I have a Fobus holster for my Glock 21, but sadly they don't do one for any tanfo's. The G21 holster actually sort of fits, but it doesn't click into place properly. /Viking84
  9. Finally! What a gun, shoots so flat and smooth, I was already considerably quicker on steel plates than with my Glock 21 after just one session. One thing that was a bit weird was that I had to adjust the rear sight all the way up, and still could have done with another click or two. I put the included fiberoptic front sight on before sighting it in, but I would have thought this would be the same height as the regular sight? Here's a picture of my (rather dirty) new girl:
  10. Hi guys, new to Tanfoglio so this might be a silly question, but I'm not sure I can see why dry firing on a snap cap (one of those with a spring to dampen the firing pin strike) would put any more wear on the gun than regular use. Am I missing something?
  11. Thanks Finally got the gun home today after getting all the registration papers in the post this morning! Out to the range as soon as possible
  12. Thanks for the link! No papers today either, so I have all weekend to research parts, holster, ammunition, and whatever else I can find on youtube
  13. Waiting for the papers from the police, they should be here tomorrow so I can go and pick it up from the gun store Slightly cumbersome rules here, but still better than most of Europe! Thanks for the tips guys, looking forward to getting this beauty home
  14. Any areas to pay special attention to while lubing, and any to avoid? Thinking about things like the Glock's firing pin channel that should definitely not be lubed I will watch out for the added attention from the ladies So far it only seems to generate interest from other guys...
  15. Forgot to add that it is a 9mm Thanks for the tips so far!
