Has anyone ever used Big Shots in ear electronic ear pro? I am considering getting some but really don't want to spend the money on them without some recommendations. Thanks

I'm probably going to take some off after the slide has been fit, the pad they put on there is about .075 thicker than the rest of the mount if I remember right, I left it at work so I can't measure it right now.

Ok that's good to know, if nothing else if the point of impact is pretty noticeable I can take it off later

Leaving the pad and having it off set wouldn't effect the point of impact?

I've got a Phoenix Trinity frame that I will be drilling and tapping tomorrow. The location of the holes in planning on is .500 from the center of the slide stop hole to the center of the rear mounting screw hole. The mount I am using is an Everglades DDP mount. On their website they say it is for a standard width dust cover 2011 I know the PT is wider, mine measures .930, what is the standard width so I know how much I need to remove from the pad on the mount?

I had a lot of ammo check good in it and had nothing but malfunctions. I zeroed 3 of my first 4 stages from a complete lockup from ammo from my first magazine on each. I borrowed a Mark 7 case gauge from a friend of mine and over half the ammo I brought with would not gauge in it i didn't have any issues the rest of the match after that. I kept the ammo with the intent to reclaim the components and reload it and accidentally took it to the range with my Shadow Systems MR920 a couple weeks ago and it was the same nothing but problems

Yeah I know, it screwed me at Area 3 two years ago, haven't had a chance to replace it yet...

Plunks fine in both my Shadow System and my 1911 barrel and wiggle a little in both, taking a closer look at the case gauge the ogive of the bullet is contacting the through hole of the gauge

I have been having some issues loading 147gr bullets. I'm using SNS 147 round nose and Hornady 147 XTP and when I go to case gauge them just the rim is sticking out of the gauge. The SNS are loaded to a COL of 1.135 and the XTP at 1.100. When I switched to the XTP to try I didn't change the depth of my seat die with the first round just to see where it was at and it measured at 1.07 and it gauged just fine. Could just seating a little deeper fix the issue? And is it something that could cause a concern?

I've got 3k+ of bad loads that I am breaking down slowly a few every night and it takes no time at all. It's wall mounted and you can either use the catch bin for single rounds or attach a piece of tubing for multiple rounds. I have a hose going into a 5 gallon bucket on mine and I just pick the bullets out and dump the powder each night.

How do I know how far the comp needs to be threaded onto the barrel once I cut the threads?

Has anyone loaded these for blackout with CFE Black or H110? I'm running an 8.5 barrel and would just be plinking, maybe use it for the Zombies in the Heartland match this year

I keep thinking of adding more work for myself on my current build and now am thinking of making my own steel grip. How much clearance is their on the magazine? Or what does the inside measure? I will be using MBX magazines

This is the only gun I am religious about keeping clean and lubed, I can get 600 rounds through it and it starts having problems anything past that and it won't run at all, at Area 3 I clean it every four stages to make sure it runs

Ok awesome I was wondering how that fit worked, so since I am planning on machining my comp from an EGW blank would it be better to cut the comp before or after I fit it to the barrel? Or does it matter?

How do you fit the cone? Do you leave it as a cone or do you fit a straight diameter?

That looks kind of similar to what I had in mind for the comp I'm machining for myself, makes me feel a little better about it hearing a positive report on something similar. Just out of curiosity what are is your 9major load?

What comp would work better for a 9mm minor open gun? I'm getting one built but not sure what to be looking for comp wise since I will mostly be shooting minor, I might shoot major PF for major matches but that would be the only time so I would want one that would be effective for both.
