The out of the box Shadow 2 weighs 46.5 oz which is already 1.5 ounces ABOVE the IDPA weight limit for Carry Optics (45 ounces) and 3.5 ounces ABOVE the IDPA weight limit for ESP (43 ounces). So the answer to the question "I can shoot a SHadow 2 in IDPA Carry optics?" is ..NO. A stock Shadow 2 with even the lightest optic on it will weigh well above the 45 ounce limit for both IDPA and USPSA Carry Optics. Weight has to be removed in order to do it.

What is the Mag Release? Did you just remove the oversized pad from the Shadow 2 mag release? The other legal ESP gun claims to have a Cajun ES29 Mag Release installed. The Cajun ES29 is an extended safety not a mag release. I cannot see the release as it is obscured by the IDPA logo on the closed box.

Titegroup!!!! OMG. I can't imagine thinking of shooting Titegroup in any gun with a gas tube piston or otherwise. Doesn't get any dirtier than Titegroup.

Does anybody have any insight into what is going on in FL IDPA Championship? I'm hearing that 20% of the participants got DQ'd.

Prone as last shooting position would conform to IDPA rules. (So you'l probably never see it in a USPSA match!)

I shoot a CZ 75 SP01 Shadow in IDA and USPSA Prod and just started using an STI Edge in .40 for USPSA Limited. I've been shooting for almost 3 years (I actually started late in life). I reload 9MM and also some 45ACP (I shoot Bullseye centerfire and .22) use Titegroup and 147 GR RN (mostly Berry;s but also Xtreme) My next venture is probably 3 gun although there is very little around here in MA for matches.

Hi, I'm from MA and am a member at 2 gun clubs. I enjoy both IDPA and USPSA action shooting as well as stage design. I look forward to the day I can move to a free state and enjoy my chosen sort much more easily.
