  1. When I am stage planning I break each stage up into sections and then assign those sections a marker. That marker is the part of that section that is the hardest. I quickly store the easy parts of a stage, things that are more muscle memory. So instead of thinking of the stage as one big mess I can focus on each part individually. It helps with that overwhelming feeling you can get when you come across a big stage. When I am on the line I simply step through each section remember my markers and execute.
  2. I am a 32 waist and I ordered 34 and it works great
  3. I agree the Strike Eagle for the money you just can't beat it. It is nice to finally have a quality scope for a entry price. Makes it much easier for more people to get into 3-gun.
  4. That is interesting didn't know the Tanfo parts would be interchangeable. Good to know.
  5. My friend has a TS Orange and it is a smooth shooting machine. Even in .40 it just sits there in your hand and cycles like a sewing machine. He had a 9mm barrel fit for it to.
  6. I dry fire just about every night for 2 hours or more and 2 matches on the weekends. Live fire once a week.
  7. I am about a 3.17 on a 6 plate rack from 10-12 yards from hands relaxed at side with my CZ SP01 Shadow
  8. Here is a video I did just playing around with the bill drill. No granted its not from the surrender position but I was just trying to see what I was capable of.
  9. I set up a stage one time at my range and shot the entire thing while driving a riding lawnmower just because. That was pretty useless.
  10. It is totally possible especially since they already had there hand on the gun. I reached my fastest draw the other day at .46 with my CZ SP-01 Shadow in 9mm with a bladetech drop offset holster. Hands relaxed at sides. That time was also to full grip not a retention shot. I can easily get a .56-.60 draw.
  11. Haha this is great! I am finishing up my Kylo Ren costume and you better believe I am going to wear it at a match. I will post a video on here when I do.
  12. One thing I do from time to time to ensure that I am being safe. When I am moving to my next shooting position, going right to left, I will drop my mag, grab my next mag and wait until I am turning into my next shooting position to seat the mag since I have to put my hands on the gun again anyway.
  13. Agreed Dawson Precision is the way to go. I would highly recommend black-out rear and a nice bright front fiber optic. This is going to allow you to get a much faster sight acquisition.
  14. I run a Mossberg JM 930 and the only thing that will accurately run through mine is the Fiocchi low recoil. It will easily hit a A/C zone steel plate at 100yards.
  15. I only paid about $950 for mine about a year and a half ago. A year and a half later it still just sits in the safe so I am parting ways with it. Amazing revolver though.
  16. I had the same issue with my 929. The hammer was being pushed to one side causing it to rub the frame. It was also causing the trigger to cant and rub the frame as well. Discovered this about 50 rounds after I got it and then sent it back to them and now its 100% fine. They even put an extended firing pin in for me
  17. So far mine has been awesome. I have ran loads of different brass through it and primarily shoot plain lead bullets. I even bought some cheap moon clips and it loves them. the only problem is that I am addicted to my uspsa production shooting and sadly am parting ways with my 929.
  18. I use a CR Speed holster. very smooth draw and super stable too. It comes with plenty of shims to dial in the tension.
  19. I had the holster problem and filing it down solved my issue. I have fat hands and there is no way around it on my cz sp01 shadow, I would always hit the mag release. I bought a standard length mag release and thousands of rounds later I haven't had a single issue.
  20. more importantly than transition speed is learning how to come into a shooting position. If you come in to fast you risk building up to much energy in your body causing improper sight alignment. You have to learn to absorb that energy by creating a lower and wider center of mass and then explode to your next position. A great drill I use requires a plate rack. I set up a P1 and P2 and shoot one plate per transition. Alternating back and forth until all the plates are down. I am shooting 8 inch plates at 15 yards with the positions about 7-10 yards apart.
  21. You will be very happy with the Vortex Viper. I ran one for about a year until I upgraded to the Vortex Razor HD.
  22. I found mine on optics planet with the deals they run sometimes. I think I paid $1125?
  23. with my standard CZ SP01 Shadow I can easily ring a 6 inch plate at 50 yards repetitively.
  24. Yeah I am around the 5.5lb DA and 2.25 SA. I did all the work myself and I have 20,000 + rounds through mine. Was very easy to do. The biggest things are polishing bearing surfaces and lots of dry fire.
  25. Yeah no doubt. I still rock a whole set of AP customs on my 3-gun rig. I buy them when I see people selling them too. I honestly think they were the best out there. I am glad safariland and or3gun are making some now though.
