I have run across some Norma 9mm brass that has a smaller than standard flash hole. The first time I found this was when I was sizing and my decapping pin got stuck in the flash hole. I had to remove the shell plate to get the case out and drive the decapping pin out of the case. I then checked some other Norma cases and found some had the standard size flash hole and some had the smaller flash hole. It is very apparent that the flash holes are markedly different. Tried to talk to Norma but only got a recording saying to leave a message. Anyone else had this issue?

I have recently found Fiocchi primers and decided to give them a try. I tried them in my M&P pro core. I am having about 5% failures with these. I have installed a six pound strike spring, the timing of my striker block is good. Has anyone else had the same issues? Not sure if these primers are coming from the new facility in Arkansas.

Yes, the mag extension will not clear the pin.

For those wondering, the Taran Tactical mag extensions will not work with the Competitor magwell.

I am curious about the actual slide weight of the Competitor. If anyone can weigh the Competitor slide with barrel and recoil spring removed That would be awesome. I have a 5" 2.0 Performance Center optics ready slide with ported barrel and slide, I also have an SRO with the metal mounting plate mounted. With the SRO and plate mine weighs 14.67oz. The SRO is 1.6oz. not sure what the plate weighs and I don't really want to remove it as I don't want to lose my zero.

I am considering getting a 10mm M&P and was curious about swapping the 10mm barrel out with a 40 S&W as an alternate to the 10mm. Does anyone know or have tried the swap. I am thinking the swap should work as long as the barrel length is the same. I am not sure if they changed the outside dimensions of the 10mm from the .40.

Has anyone used the extended striker block from Ed Brown? If so what is your take on this.

Thanks for the input, the safety is stainless. I tried 80 grit glass beads at 80 psi and it was a little too aggressive to match. I then tried some sanded grout at 60 psi. This gave me the correct surface finish but it was a more dull than the factory finish. The factory finish had a bit more polished look. Trying to figure out how to keep the blasted finish but make it a bit brighter.

I needed to remove a little material from the edge of the safety. Does anyone know what media I need to use for blasting to match the finish on the safety?

Does anyone know if the mag tube on the ACT has the mag release notch cut in the same place as the MECGAR? I have a 16.40 and the MECGAR mags will not seat with my magwell without modification. It seems some guys are able to use the ACT mag in 16.40's without modifying them.
