  1. I shoot both. I'm a Life member with USPSA but really enjoy PCSL. I like the K zone and LOVE the action steel stages. I will be a member of PCSL when membership becomes available. I don't see it as an either or type of thing.
  2. Hunters HD have made Gold lenses for my Oakley Turbine and Blue for my Holbrooks. The old lenses were scratched and the HD's are worth the upgrade for me.
  3. If I'm not mistaken, a car is considered private property so once someone goes into the car it's the same as going into a house.
  4. I have wussy hands I guess. I have the S2 and it definitely feels grippy. Makes the Talon grips on my polymer guns feel like Charmin.
  5. I've used one since last summer. Banged it into a port a few times when I had jams and it is still holding zero.
  6. I've done the same with the slide from my Limited Gun. They were fine with it.
  7. I don't have to load but do prefer it. Although at current costs I'm thinking of shooting factory until the next crisis price gouge. I just got an MPA for LO. I love it but won't be any better with it, just maybe smiling a little more.
  8. I've read a lot of negatives about MPA here but where I shoot there are a lot of people with MPA's. Quite a few Open but also a lot of Hybrid's and LOC. Nobody has told me of any issues and I asked almost all of them before I placed my order. I also talked to David L with MPA and traded emails with the owner before placing my order. I have had a great experience with them and in under 16 weeks I received my MPA today. I will get it out to the range soon and I believe I will be a good test because I am not a gunsmith. I only have experience with Polymer guns (mostly FN's) but do shoot a lot in USPSA (3-4 matches a month) but also am just a C (almost B ) class shooter. I have several times squeezed the trigger while the safety was engaged just to see if it would do anything and it doesn't move at all. F
  9. Has he reached out to MPA? I have a DS9 LOC on order and they have been very easy to deal with. I have seen many of their people at matches go out of their way to help people, even with guns that aren't MPA.
  10. Completely agree! That is the biggest thing everyone needs to do no matter their opinion on anything else.
  11. If 100 members do not renew that doesn't move the needle considering all of the turnover there is yearly in membership. If 100 MD's go Hit Factor and not USPSA for several months, that hurts. It is much harder to find new MD's than it is to find new members. If the MD's get fed up enough to either stop altogether or not run USPSA it will matter a lot. Until now, only members were voicing their displeasure openly. USPSA is still a small sport with high turnover. Unless the local leaders do something then not much will change.
  12. C&C Indoor Range in Boiling Springs, SC has a lot of good knowledge about CZ's. One of their employee's is the top SC Carry Optics shooter and shoots CZ. They sell quite a bit of them. Definitely worth stopping in.
  13. Beautiful. I ordered my DS9 LO Comp in November. Only a couple more months to go
  14. There was some discussion around rules that I enjoyed. There was some good stewardship happening then. That is what I want the board to focus on. Stewardship.
  15. I very happy that Ben Berry is my AD

  17. I have been lucky with the attitudes and people I have met in A6. I have been encouraged by many GM's and even though I am a C class lifer I have always felt included and comfortable with anyone I have squadded with. I'm also getting an MPA DS9 LO because of the good people they have working for them and one of their sponsored shooters who I have gotten to know well. Again, I've been fortunate and not had the same issues with ego's around me but it would be a turn off if I did have that experience.
  18. I spent a lot of money and time trying to find an acceptable co witness setup with optics on my Glock and FN509. I finally got rid of the irons. If my dot fails it takes too long to think to switch to irons and I feel without irons if the dot fails that I am better off trusting my grip and presentment than hunting for the irons.
  19. I prefer the 2.0 single dot reticle. I have used a SRO 2.5 for a long time so when I got the 507 I tried just about every combination and always came back to the single reticle. I guess I don't really care too much for all the other reticles. But the 507 comb is brighter than the SRO 2.5 it seems so I am sticking with that. I also got a G17 GGP optics slide and just put a Holosun 407A on it. Bright 3.0 and good enough for what I will use the G17 for. I didn't want to spend extra for reticles on the 507 when PSA had the 407A for so cheap. With the 507 comp I used it in a match that was wet and cold and had a jam. I didn't want to risk dropping the gun so I banged the 507 Comp on the port 3 or 4 times until it cleared the jam. The dot turned off but after the stage I went to the safe area and turned it back on then rotated through all the reticles then put it back on the single 2.0. Shot the next stage and no issue. The following week I went to check the zero and it was still where it should be. I was surprised b/c I hit it so hard I expected to have to replace the dot. It seems tough enough for me and will be what I put on my MPA when it comes in.
  20. I try to give the benefit of the doubt whenever possible but the examples of double standards are numerous. I realize most Non-Profit BOD's are dysfunctional but the double standards with them comes across purposeful and with malice
  21. For those upset about things there are now 3 elections that will occur in 2024 (A1, A2 and now A3). Enjoy your shooting and vote. There has never been a more impactful opportunity.
  22. I was happy in CO but do have an MPA LOC on order but only because of my experience with them. I wanted to upgrade and was looking at CZ's mostly but decided on an MPA. I have met and shot with a few of their shooters and they are good people. I know the gun won't improve my results but I also feel good about spending money with them knowing the people and the way they have sponsored a lot of things in my area.
  23. I have flat feet and use arch support in my tennis shoes but for matches I wear Timberland hiking boots and they work great and I don't need arch support with them. The extra ankle support helps me too.
  24. I have Taylor Freelance that I use for my Glock and my FN 509. I really like them.
