  1. Not sure what you mean by “order the XL.” As in the XL 750? Or the big case gauge? I use a regular one but it’s fine. Loads can vary a lot between pistols. My load in my TSO is 180 gr Blue Bullet 4.3gr Titegroup loaded to 1.135 on average. Usually use CCI primers, occasionally Winchester. PF is around 174-178. Mixed brass.

  3. Lol, I've read of lots of people with .40 TSO's having this issue. It works out of the gate, but after the extractor channel gets dirty it hiccups. I've not had an FTE since replacing the spring 8,000 rounds ago.
  4. Common problem. Mine did it. I know two guys who bought theirs at the same time from the same store. Need the extra power extractor spring. Also keep it clean back there before majors. Friend who shoots a Shadow 2 also put it in, despite the warning not too and it is more reliable.
  5. Sorry, missed your reply. Looking at the pic it is the old style. You’ll be good just ordering the extended RHS extended safety. But if you get it and it fits loosely you’ll need to order the LHS TS safety. Mine required filing to make it fit.
  6. Jesus Harold Christ. You’re right. A single stage is a stupid option. Don’t mind me.
  7. Keep in mind the OPs question was “is it worth it?” I just gave an opinion and dillon fanboys are getting butthurt. I really don’t give a s#!t.
  8. Jesus. I didn’t say you can’t make good ammo on a dillon. All I meant was that rock chucker is a hell of a lot cheaper than a conversion kit, dillon dies, case feeder plate and quick change kit. And it’s just ready to make .223. OP asked if it was worth it. I gave an alternative.
  9. I went the same route, G35 to TSO. If it is the newer TSO that comes with the extended Shadow 2 safety and mag release, and you get the CZ Custom extended safety you’ll need the old style TS LHS safety to fit with it. If you don’t it will fly off. Mine did. Or if you can find the extended Shadow 2 RHS safety that will work.
  10. I do hoser 3-gun ammo on the 650. Everything else is on single stage. A 650 primes, powders, and seats quickly, but the brass still needs all the prep work. If you shoot a ton, worth it. If you shoot some and want accuracy, get a single stage. If you don’t need the above, just buy it.
  11. Break in isn’t a thing. Just shoot it. I shoot 180 handloads. I put 8,000 rounds though mine this year. It’s as accurate now as day one.
  12. The one that came with it. Ditch the buffer. I run a 13lb recoil spring. Could go down to 11, haven’t tried it yet. It is not one that came with it, I ordered them from Cajun Gun Works. I also replaced grips with Henning, but Lok grips would be good too. I got Henning because a friend had them and I was able to find out they fit me perfectly. Nothing else really need to be changed. Just shoot and practice.
  13. I ordered the same one. You also need to order the LHS TS safety. It will work, but it won’t stay on. You need this and then file down the pin until it stays on. https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/safeties/cz-75-saftey-lhs.html
  14. I’m also a lefty. The right hand extended safety fits with the old style TS safety. It won’t stay on with the shadow 2 safety that comes with it. You will need the old style LHS safety and then fit it. I know this because I had my safety fly off during a match.
  15. If it’s a 9mm I wouldn’t worry too much. It will come with the most important things. Slide stop, like all CZ’s but you’ll have pins as backups that come with it. Mags at Stoeger pro shop or CZ Custom are best price I’ve seen. CZ Custom extensions are best imo (easiest to clean). Extra trigger return and main spring. Good to go. My rear sight started walking out during a class this summer. Gun was so hot it melted the Lol tite. Had the slide dimpled for the set screws. But it had about 900 rounds through it each day.
  16. Honestly, don’t pick a gun you think you want to shoot in USPSA until you get the hang of USPSA. There’s a lot of differences in the divisions. If you have a pistol just shoot that for a while. I have a TSO in 40 and shoot Limited but that’s what I really like to shoot. 40 is a pain in the ass and it’s hard on the gun. Reloading your own ammo is really the way to do it, or shoot Syntech. Regular ammo is a lot snappier. A friend of mine was in the same boat as you. Money set aside for a new gun and he wanted to shoot USPSA. He doesn’t reload and quickly learned that the cost of 40 ammo was a bit crazy. He struggled with it a lot. Then he started shooting a Sig X5 and made B class in production pretty quick. A 9mm TSO is a big competitive disadvantage. If you really want to buy something snazzy, get a Shadow 2 and just shoot it. It doesn’t really need anything. You’ll also have cash left over for mags and holster and pouches, etc

    CZ TSO holster

Red Hill Tactical. I’m not interested in the race holster thing. Not knocking, just not interested.
  18. I took the buffer out of mine as well after the first one shredded about 500 rounds in. It is not necessary. 8,000 rounds later it is fine.

    TS 40 Feeding Issue

My slide does lock back with the Grams spring and follower. If you don't already have a mag brush, bet the Arredondo that has the little tool in the bottom for popping the basepads off. I have one that doesn't have that tool from when I shot a Glock with TTI pads that were toolless.

    TS 40 Feeding Issue

Edit: I hadn't seen your response... I get 20 in mine. If you’re getting 21, that’s cool, I have one CZC spring and follower that will do it, but I don’t care about one more round, reliability is more important to me. I just make sure I don't run out of rounds.

    TS 40 Feeding Issue

I didn’t do anything. Just put them in and pew.

    TS 40 Feeding Issue

Sorry. CZ springs are weird. Grams are great.

    TS 40 Feeding Issue

The springs are weird too. I put them in the mags I mainly use for dry fire and live fire practice and don’t use in matches.

    TS 40 Feeding Issue

It’s a tight chamber. I had that issue with my handloads. I added just a little more crimp and it went away. That said, white box is the worst. I see more problems with that s#!t than anything. Try different ammo, and actually firing the gun. I like the CZC extensions, but I don’t like their springs and base pads. I put Grams spring and followers in and it was 100%.
