Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I use mine at an indoor range (5-6ft between shooters) and I never have any problems with it seeing only my shots
  2. Thanks, I'll try loading them long and see what happens... My Caspian has a hybrid comp so it takes a lot of gas to run the gun. Have to see if I can make a load that will do it in a 9x19 casing
  3. I've got a Matt Mclearn Caspian. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/83397142/IMG_0421.JPG (sorry about the link, I can't figure out how to just post a photo)
  4. Hmm, thanks Steve. It would be interesting to see if my hybrid comp guy would action on a 9mm major load...
  5. When you say load long 9mm, do you mean use 9x19 casing in the 9x21 chamber? If I'm not mistaken, the 9x19 and 9x21 bullets seat in the chamber on the case face. If I were to load 9x19 then the casing is only held by the extractor.... am I missing something? Is that what you do? Right now my 9x21 rounds are loaded to 1.250", not sure if the gun will feed a shorter load.... I've never tried it before.
  6. Thanks, this is what I've been thinking too.... guess I've been trying to come up with a good excuse to buy a new gun
  7. Hello Folks! I used to compete back in the days of 9x21 and the old major PF. Other commitments pulled me away from the sport but I'm starting to feel the bug again. A lot has changed in the past 12-15years since I used to compete but looks like lots for the better. One question that I'm looking to answer is how to convert my 9x21 to 9x19 major. Maybe it's not possible or to cost prohibitive but I love my Caspian and hate to see all the $ that I put into go to waste. Yes, I could keep shooting 9x21... I've got lots of brass but in the long run 9x19 would be better. Any help would be appreciated!
