I've been running the Thril mags with zero issue with feeding so far for a couple months. So far so good.

Anyone know of anyone making +10 or more mag extensions for the new 35 round SIG branded mags? I haven't been able to find any information about them fitting or not. TIA
-
I did find one locally, with a Romeo5 on it for $2100.

Awesome, thank you!

What do you mean a blitz?

Last I heard when I talked to Matt, he was 100% focused on parts and parts only. Only occasionally building a gun if at all. He used to build the Match Gun for Ryan Rocks, and now that has fallen to someone else. That may have changed over the last 5-6 months since I spoke with him, so just have to ask him I guess.

Awesome! Thank you for the info!

Most Stable Carbon Fiber Handguard?
Sfisch0311 replied to jkrispies's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Hmmmm, that sounds extremely odd. I am not doubting you, or your experience btw. I have just had nothing but good experiences with CODA products. I have used the handguard and the comps from them for years, and I know one of the co-owner's personally. If you would like, I can try to get you in touch with him, or at least someone that can help you. -
I got in touch with the owner. Please reach out to him via text on the number that is listed on the contact page of the website: https://gxproductsusa.com/contact-gx-products/ And if you didn't know, GX is a one man show and he is working as fast as he can without sacrificing quality. I know it is hard, but please be patient. The holster is definitely worth the wait!

I can reach out to him for you and have him check the post so he can help resolve your issue here.

That's what I want to know. I'd love to have one, but the it's like $1500 more for a JP-5.

As the title says, should I invest in an MPX Competition model? Pros? Cons? I have owned a Sig MPX Gen 1 in the past and loved it, but eventually went back to an AR-9. Now I am looking to get another one, and I want to hear what kind of differences this one has vs the older generation models. Thanks in advance!

small rifle primer for major power factory limited / open loads?
Sfisch0311 replied to davsco's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
I use anything I can get my hands on at this point lol. Seriously though, I have never had an issue with running SRP or SPP in either my PCC or my Open gun. It's really just whatever you can get a hold of at this point. -
Sorry, double posted.

I'd recommend an Elftmann Tactical AR-9 trigger. Best, most crisp clean trigger I have ever used. Here's a link if you want to check it out: https://www.elftactical.com/ELF-AR-9-Trigger_p_66.html

JP GMR-15 or Sig MPX PCC final considerations
Sfisch0311 replied to Fasthenk65's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
I've owned AR-9s and an MPX. I am going to go back to the MPX here very soon due to how flat it shoots. I only shot JHPs out of it due to trying to reduce carbon build up. I never had a real issue with it at that point. It also was a Gen 1, so I upgraded the extractor pin and spring with an O-ring and it ran like a top at that point. I plan on purchasing a Competition model soon. -
I'd personally recommend an Elftmann Tactical AR-9 trigger. https://www.elftactical.com/ELF-AR-9-Trigger_p_66.html Best PCC or AR-15 trigger on the market imo. I have shot Hyperfire, Timney, and Geissele and Elftmann is the best trigger I have ever felt. Fully adjustable trigger from 4 to 2.75 lbs. If you're interested in one, PM me and I can get you one.

Personally, I like loading the night before. It allows me to go walk stages when I get to the range, and bulls#!t with my buddies. Yeah I can bs with the boys while loading mags, but most of the time they are walking stages at this point. I guess it really just comes down to personal preference.

Winchester 244 is really good too. It's a relatively new powder, but I like it for my minor loads. Titegroup is something you don't want to use with coated bullets cause it actually will burn off the coating because of the nitrate that is in it I believe. Apparently that can lead to fouling in your barrel from what I have heard. Besides, 244 isn't nearly as snappy as Titegroup.
-
Gotcha, I've just never been a fan of coated in comp guns (Open or otherwise). It all just comes down to personal preference really. Cheers!

Just out of curiosity, why are you loading coated bullets for open? You’re going to get a lot of lead fouling in the comp that’s going to build up a lot over time. I’d recommend a jacket bullet, HP’s definitely. You can get Precision Deltas for a really great price for 2k. But to touch in the load data, I run AA#7 with Zero 115gr Conical HP and I love how gassy this powder is. I have a shorty with 2 popples and I have to run 11.3gr at 1.160 OAL . Yes I know that’s a lot, you should see the looks I get from people when I tell them how much powder is in there lol. It makes 173 PF out of my gun and I use Win SR primers. I used to use HS-6 for a long while and may still try out some loading with it again, but I just really like how the gun tracks with the AA7. Also, I get much more consistent throws with AA7 than H-6.
-
So, as the title says, does anyone have any experience with these primers? I have used Win SR for my open loads for over a year now, and I have never had an issue. I am thinking about checking these out cause I have seen some for a really great price, so I figured why not? I figure they will work just fine, I just wanted to see if anyone out there had used them before. Thank you in advance!

Relationship between popple holes and flatness
Sfisch0311 replied to AverageJoeShooting's topic in Open Pistols
Yeah... you right... my bad. -
I once double charged a .40 load with Titegroup on my old Lee 4 hole turret press. Needless to say my Glock didn’t handle that lol. But yes, easy to do in a 9mm case. For my open loads I used 11.3 gr of AA7 for. 9 Major
