  1. Reporting in for another data point. Got my JP5 about a month ago. Out of the box, shooting 115 Blazer I wasn't able to get the rifle to operate reliably with the 60* lock piece. Gun works nice with the 70* lock piece.
  2. I am a fan of the R3XL 6 MOA. I've tried an SRO 5 MOA and prefer the R3XL.
  3. Very new open shooter here. I don't know what's better or worse but from ~1500 rounds through the gun the most remarkable parts of using AA7 are small amounts of sludge in the crevices of the gun and powder sticking to the hopper/funnel and sprinkling all over my press. The gun doesn't feel too punchy and the dot is pretty trackable. That said, I'll probably switch to SWMP and rifle primers after I'm done with the current stock based on feedback. 4. Dillon commented my thread with an update that they plan to ship RL1100s by Dec 16.
  5. Got in touch with Dillon this morning, the 1100 shares the same mounting footprint,
  6. I'm trying to be cheap and buy stuff for the 1100 I'm going to get whenever Dillon decides to finally ship them. Will the 1100 share the same mounting footprint as the 1050?
  7. Labradars work fine. I own a Chrony and CED and they also work fine.
  8. I prefer to use case lube. When you apply the lube to the case it affects every aspect of the reloading process not just resizing, regardless if you want it to or not.
  9. In short, yes. Published loads are not at the top end from a safety perspective, if you're concerned I would start under the published load and work up.
  10. Thanks, I had a similar concern but wasn’t sure if I was making a big deal out of nothing.
  11. So who's gonna fabricate an adapter and mount/stand for this thing so it can crap out primers directly into a press?
  12. Does it matter if you get lube (lanolin) inside of cases when reloading? I've been spraying a container then putting brass in but haven't experimented with the reverse.
  13. Left eye dominant, right handed here. What I did to solve it is - nothing. Shoot pistols to your dominant eye. Shoot long guns to your dominant dexterity.

  15. I'm running a 1/2" riser on my 510C
  16. In my experience you only need to file the internal edge of the TTI basepad that has the retaining pin. After that the process described above (load 35, push the top round down while smacking basepad, then adding #36) is needed for a bit before it wears in.
  17. I got my final testing USPSA match in - I'm planning to stay with the DBRS for the time being. I adjusted the way I mount the gun a bit and it significantly reduced bumpfires, I only had one. I also had some non-PCC shooters blind test the recoil system for me and they felt like the dot performance was fantastic and predictable with no specific remarks about recoil. Like @BossHoggLou mentioned the recoil is definitely harsher than the 3 stage setup but only people who have miles on the 3 stage setup know that. Has anyone tried the DBRS with the new ESSB? Is there any benefit in doing this? @TRUBL ETA: 24A 2C on this stage. You can split pretty ok with the DBRS.
  18. I shot Area 4 over the weekend and the buffer performed without any catastrophic issues. However, I did bump fire a number of times on different stages and because of the increased cyclic rate I turned a few heads. In general I don't want to send any more shots than the ones I really wanted to send so I may go back to the 3-stage buffer with marginally worse dot performance.
  19. It's not my experience that delaying the blowback resulted in higher velocity given the same load. The recoil impulse is increased because the bolt carrier mass is lighter given the same load.
  20. Depending on actual date I may be interested.
  21. Toss up between JP and MPX for me, if weight is an issue swap a CF tube on.
  22. I have around 700 rounds on this buffer now with a short function test and 2 USPSA matches. I'm going to have one more match and shake down practice before Area 4. It's definitely a more stiffer recoil impulse but I think the dot settles a predictably. I had one unintended bump fire but I'm not paying it much attention unless it happens more often.
