  1. Thanks for the reply. Can you go into more details? Angle ejector how? To what angle? Also, how do you tune the extractor tension? I’ve tried multiple extractors, and both the stock and heavy duty springs. I should also update that I’ve tried 6, 8, 10, and 12 lb recoil springs, with no discernible difference in ejection angle... 2. Thanks everyone. I’ll grab some spare parts and start seeing where I can get some improvement. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I appreciate the post. Looks like a lot of good, but very general. Info. The part I’m missing is the “if this is what’s happening, here’s what you tweak” section. For example, I’m using N320, 124gr Berry’s FP ammo, CCI primers. 2 Tanfo’s, brass ejecting forward of the line on an indoor range (which means no brass recovery). What variable do I tweak to change the angle of ejection? That’s the guide I’m looking for. Theoretically, there should be some consistency and repeatability in these firearms, right? Meaning, “if you pull on this lever, you can expect this type of result”, right? If not, how does anyone know where to start to achieve a given result? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Barrel is reamed, and ammo passes case gauge. What specifically to do with the springs, assuming starting at stock? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. So, with all this said, what are the specific steps to tune the Tanfo to be a highly reliable performer? Saying “it needs to be tuned to work” is one thing, but specifically what / how needs t be done? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Well, when you put it that way...[emoji16] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Dan, apologies for not replying sooner - my days are getting away from me. It’s a 9mm Stock II, with the standard recoil spring. I’m shooting minor PF ammo - 135 PF. Tried with my hand loads and also Federal 150 gr. Syntech ammo. I guess what really has me stumped is should I have to “tune” a stock pistol to eject properly? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. My Tanfo was experiencing some FTE issues. As I purchased it used, I gave it a good cleaning and replaced the extractor and spring. Good news is no more FTE issues (about 2k rounds since changing). Bad news is that brass is now ejecting almost straight forward of the line. Not a horrible issue, but makes collecting brass a pain. How would I go about fixing this? Of course, I no longer have the old extractor, so I can’t compare them (that would be too easy). Any other ideas? Everything else is the same (ammo, power factor, etc). I tried googling, but nothing directly about how to fix it. All recommendations are appreciated! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. That’s perfect! Exactly what I needed. Thank you! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Hi everyone, Can anyone direct me to a video on how to change the extractor spring on a Tanfoglio Stock 2? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    FBI P320

I've put a lot through my P320's, also, with no issues. Only thing I can guess is that the evaluation criteria for these selection processes are pretty subjective, and "failing miserably" may not mean or be as bad as it sounds. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Milt Sparks is great, if you can wait the lead time. I have carried a G19 both IWB and OWB using an L.A.G. kydex holster. I've been very impressed with it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I have one of Alma's grips on my full size P320, and it's awesome. I highly recommend it if you really want a "no-slip" experience with your grip. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on a Target 320 when it comes out. I haven't heard much one way or the other from people as far as quality over time goes. Seems, like most things, there are those that love them and those that don't. My experience is those who don't have issues with the ergonomics, but not quality. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I haven't noticed any difference. All mine are accurate, but if I were to say one is a little "better" than they others, it would be the most recent one. I have probably in the neighborhood of 6500 round count through them, with no issues. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. If you do arrive to the match early, offer to help get involved in setting up the stages. You'll get a great understanding of how the stage is designed, and meet great people who will appreciate the help! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. The 1/16th washer with the STI spacer is what I'm using as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Yes, pretty much. I'm not sure I could name another competitor close to the precision fit and quality of Weather Tech. I had them in our previous vehicles, and have a full set in my jeep currently. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I think you may get a lot of varying opinions on this. I'm a new reloaded myself (about 4-5 months in, at most), and the advice I received was to start with a turret press, where there is only one operation happening at a time, so you can learn the proper steps and know exactly what to expect. I don't regret the decision to go with the Lee Classic Turret press, but I can understand the allure and desire to go with a progressive press that will meet your needs for the future. It's an individual decision, but there are maybe some questions that can help narrow it down, like: Do you a mentor, that can show you, in person, how to get started and answer questions? Do you know what a "good load" looks like, and how to tell signs of problems (for example, flattened primers being a sign of high pressure)? What are you loading? As a very general statement, you may be less likely to make a mistake (such as overcharging, or failing to charge) a 9mm minor load than a .30-06 rifle load. Do you have (or will you purchase) the tools to safely reload (powder scales, loading manuals, safe powder, accurate calipers, chronograph, case gauge, etc)? The previous poster is correct - you can do it. I'm sure this forum, and many others, are full of people who safely learned to reload on a progressive press, and are now past the learning curve. My advice would be to think about your experience level, your personality, your support system, and your attention to detail, and make an honest assessment. Reloading is very safe, and not hard to learn, but at the same time is very detail-oriented and carries harsh penalties when mistakes are made. I'm sure you'll get some great advice from the mire experienced people here. You may want to consider a post in the general reloading section, also - it may get more attention there. Good luck, and if you have questions, ask! The people here are great, and very knowledgeable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I don't know about making the Grayguns trigger production legal, but the P226 Legion is on the Production Gun List as of this morning: https://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-NROI-production-gunlist.php Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. You've never seen me when someone shows up at the range with krispy kremes!Ouch. I just pulled a stitch laughing so hard! Yup, lost my coffee on that one! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. 125 gr Blue Bullet, 3.9 grains of VV N320, OAL of 1.142. Nice accuracy, and very soft. Haven't chronographed it yet, but is should make PF with a little (very little) to spare. I need to find a place to setup the chronograph to test the rounds Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I once heard the saying "You can't miss fast enough". For some reason, I like it and it has stuck with me. Like Jake and the other posters above, I agree it's not an inverse relationship. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I'm new to reloading, and don't know what is a good price or bad, but Graf & Sons has the 4 lb canisters of it. I wish I could find it locally to not pay the hazmat shipping fee, but I was able to bundle some other things so it wasn't too bad.
  25. I have a 9mm carry slide, with threaded barrel, I'm looking to sell. I'd prefer to sell the entire slide with raised night sites and barrel together. It has 100 rounds through it. Shoot me a message if you are interested and it will work for what you need. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
