  1. Surefire cans are definitely the toughest SOB's on the market, and have quite a few awesome options. Dead air definitely has the best QD mounting platform and are extremely good performers, both durability and suppression( I have a couple sandmans, the K and the S) and they have a new lightweight can out now too. Silencerco has some of the quietest cans you can buy.... WHAT are you looking for this can to do primarily?

    G19 rmr

This is spot on. Take it from a guy that has 2 rm06's and one rm07, the 3.25 dot is perfect whereas the 6min dot is too big for me and has too much bloom. At least in the RMR. Now on the open gun all i had was 6min dots and i loved them. Moving from the rm06 to the rm07 my 25 and 50yd B8s usually suffer ~5-10 pts and ~10-15 pts respectively.
  3. What bullet are you running @9x45?
  4. Why SHOULD it suck though, it doesn't have to? Why not change the status quo? Your right, and over the years I've learned a lot about what's good and what's really not (though people still think it is), but I've had the best of dots and gear break, well-maintained dots/gear. Why not have that insurance when your 600 dollar red dot that you didn't think would die, dies?
  5. I see this train of thought everywhere on this forum, but having had numerous red dots on guns for years, I've learned that irons are insurance, (dot flicker, dot completely dying, dot breaking, dot flying off the gun (MOS system) have all happened to me or buddies guns in the MIDDLE of stages). it's not a matter of if it'll happen, its when. so, why not have them there to switch over to when crap happens... yes, irons are a slight distraction, but only slightly, their pros outweigh their cons every day of the week. you don't always get to switch to your backup gun and re-run the stage.
  6. just do this, or send it to me.... no more need for an extended mag release

    Magpul question

Same here, also with magpul mags, exactly what I did

    Epoxy + grit

is there a set of instructions anywhere on how to do this? might actually try it on a spare g19
  9. "lose the iron sights" he says, have you ever had a dot die in the middle of a match or even completely break in the middle of a stage (hood detach from dot body), or even something as simple as a little dot flicker in the middle of a stage? if you've had any of those happen to you, your happy to have those BUIS, just pick up those irons and keep rocking out.

    KKM for 147gr 9mm

If you cant repetitively shoot 90's on a B8 at 25, an aftermarket barrel is only going to be a show piece for you, its not going to make you shoot lazerbeamz automatically.... But, here you go, this is just 1 of a few reputable tests done on glock barrel accuracy, I'll link another in a minute..... all in all KKM is top of the pack, s3f and blacklist aren't far behind, agency barrels aren't in any of these tests, but i know a few peeps that swear by the premium line ($$$) Barrel Race 2017 — Victory Gun Blog.htm
  11. there's no substitute for good instruction, find a good reputable instructor near you and put money into training and ammo, the aforementioned resources will help you get a handle on basics in prep for a course, you can check out Primaryandsecondary.com for good vetted instruction near you.
  12. you need to check your set screws, if that doesn't fix it, adjust the pull weight a little heavier, we've had this trouble with a couple elf's. they seem to have trouble with some primers if they are set too light.
  13. http://www.highspeedgear.com/hsgi/cobra-1-75-rigger-belt-velcro-31CV.html One of my favorite belts, stiffer than a 5.11 TDU belt by a good bit, but not as stiff as my DAA or Ares Gear Aegis. HSGI is money well spent.

    Red Dot Longevity

Where on earth did you hear that BS?
  15. what modern comps are you guys using on 9major?
  16. always cracks me up when people compare glock triggers to 1911/2011's... no glock trigger will be the same, the physics just arent there. Several different glock triggers ive had or felt were incredible improvements on oem, but apples still arent oranges. The arsenal trigger is dope as shit though, ill pick one up for kicks soon!
  17. Please do it! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  18. I just wanna say the agency 34's with that front 'bob' cut are some of the best looking plastic pistols on the market imo. but, OP why not just get the patrol series? It offers the essentials of an agency gun and no 'cool guy cuts' for less than half the price. Plus, if your LEO/mil, they offer i think a 10% discount on top of that. So you'll pay 675 instead of 1600.
  19. I very much disagree with this statement. I have had some squared away irons shooters pick up my rmr'ed glocks and they couldn't pick up the dot, and once they found the dot and pulled the first shots they had to 're-find' the dot. I had trouble myself when I first started shooting dots, there is a big learning curve. You may not have as much trouble on mrds's with bigger windows though. 9x45 is on point with this statement, I will add that when you start shooting with a dot, a really exaggerated high and straight 'L' draw will help. 9x45, finally something you and I agree on?!?
  20. Here are a few already published barrel tests for y'all to check out. S3F is included in both. http://www.victorygunblog.com/blog/barrelrace17 https://primaryandsecondary.com/forum/index.php?threads/glock-precision-barrel-test-1-ransom-rest-oem-kkm-s3f-zev-wilson.1727/

    Grip Angle

I also have trouble switching between platforms on the norm. Whenever I'm done with my 1911's/2011 and go back to my stupid Glocks that I carry every day at work and home, I always have to spend a little while doing what I call "getting my mind right with them," to which my wife scoffs and laughs and says "whatever excuse you need use to get out of work around here and go to the range." Yeah whatever woman..... #words.
  22. Lol, no. IDPA makes even less sense. 9x45, I believe you are implying that I shoot games for a "real world benefit/scenario?" Simply, just not what I'm getting at here. Your missing my point. I can simplify it even further if you'd like. I'm not Tactical Tessy or anything, I am only saying if a person is ACTUALLY going to use a carry optics gun, AS a carry gun IRL, your given advice to not have BUIS is ludicrous. No, I'm not saying you need to play games the way you would IRL, and LMAO, I'm definitely not saying competition would get you killed IRL. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  23. Right. I didn't say tactical training, we all know gun games are far from that. Agreed. Also, the dudes your seeing at nats, NEVER carry those guns outside of a square range. So whoopdidoo if their red dot goes down, just pull out the second gun and go to work instead of just transitioning to iron's, makes sense, lol. But for a dude (OP) that's gonna shoot his actual carry gun in "carry optics," not having backup iron's COULD get him killed on the street. That was the only point I've been trying to make. Although, BUIS have still saved my ass in gaming as well. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  24. Im pretty sure the purpose of a "carry optics" division was to shoot RDSed guns that you carry outside of competition. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
