  1. I had slightly better accuracy with the X5 but the Legion has been essentially 100% reliable whereas the X5 had an occasional malfunction.
  2. This. My understanding of controlled pairs is you are supposed to pull the trigger on the second shot the EXACT MOMENT the sight picture is acceptable on the second shot. On the Doubles drill you are pulling the trigger as fast as you can. Both are great drills IMO. Controlled pairs helped me see things faster and learn what I could get away with whereas doubles teaches you grip/trigger press issues.
  3. I think you will be happy with your choice.
  4. I did not know that so that is good to know.
  5. I would just be speculating since I have no direct experience nor do I know anyone who has sent their gun off to GG. The “trigger stroke” is definitely shorter with the Sig. Arm. by a significant margin. I have let others handle my gun who have an X5 and a variety of different trigger mods. They can’t believe how good it came out. I also should say the customer service has been excellent through Sig Arm. I got my gun back quicker than he estimated and he has always answered my questions immediately (even after the work was completed).
  6. I have GG kit and had no complaints. I decided to Sig Armorer on my back up gun and they did a fantastic job. The pull was a little heavier but the break was the cleanest I have seen on a striker gun. The reset was was also much better than any other combo I have tried. Only con would be price and you will need to keep the FCU mated to the slide (you can swap the grip module without issues). I switched to the Sg Armorer as soon as I got it and am getting ready to send my other gun off to them.
  7. To the best of my knowledge, no. I had Alma do a grip job and some to the grip and it fits great. That’s a heck of a lot better than the stock ones.
  8. Even without the tungsten guide rod or wait I can’t hardly appreciate any difference. I would recommend using whichever one fits your hand better… Just my two cents
  9. My TTI +2 fit the gauge, but my factory basepad 21 didn’t so I had to dremel it slightly.
  10. Right now he is busy being the MD for Area 5. I promise they are worth the wait. In the meantime just pickup a Comtac (it worked good for my X5) and then use the GX when it comes in. I kept my Comtac for a backup rig.
  11. 8k rounds through a Legion and no issues using VV N320.
  12. I didn’t do any slo mo but my experience and conclusions with the factory GR and 14lb recoil spring we’re the same as yours.
  13. Glad to hear that is running well.
  14. I am guessing they are like Tanfos. With Henning +5 base pads I could never consistently get them to run with any springs and followers. It didn’t matter which brand basepads, people had to work on them to get them to run. I would bet the manufacturers of the mags don’t get the tolerances tight enough because they didn’t design the mag to run with different larger basepads. Since this has been a problem on multiple platforms and brands I don’t blame Henning, TTI, Taylor for these problems because they can’t control the mag body. I would love to see one of these guys make the entire mag. I bet you wouldn’t see these issues. If there was an issue, you would know exactly who to blame.
  15. I haven’t had to do any magic with TTI and Gram’s with 21 round mags. I have 2 of these and one is a little easier than the other but they both work. I only load to 23 (plus 1) when I have to just to be safe, but they have both never malfunctioned.
  16. TTI and haven’t had Any problems with them so that’s why I use them
  17. Grip tape and trigger mod (depends on how far you want to go down the rabbit hole on that one) and you are good to go.
  18. Dry Fire. Always pay attention to the what the sights do during dry fire. That was my mistake....when I started I was slow and accurate but as I started to get faster, my trigger press got poor and I started missing a lot more. Took me a while to figure out why. The draw on the last stage was pretty good but they were slow on the other 2. There was a lot of wasted motion. Eventually work on movement but trying not to DQ on your first match, that was fine. It’s definitely addicting and your life will never be the same… For better or worse
  19. I have been considering this so I’m glad you brought this up.
