That’s been my experience as well. After 100 rounds, no malfunctions no matter how dirty mags are

More common???
If you want statistics, I don’t have them. It just seems like I see more posts/vids of this happening with Sig. This is what I shoot and will continue to shoot. I probably will convert to a KKM barrel.

That’s entirely possible. In fact sig has changed up the barrel design a few times now, the newer barrels seem to have more support.
That said, in the video that prompted this thread, the amount of smoke that comes out of the guys gun when it blows up is like 3x his normal shots. It’s hard not to suspect an overcharge.
That’s what I thought. I haven’t seen a lot of these so not an expert but I wouldn’t think the gun failing without a double charge cause that much smoke.
I acknowledge it does seem more common in Sigs, but I am not convinced the video that started this thread was the gun’s fault.

Maybe I have been lucky but never had any issues with mine….about 15-20k rounds through all of them in total

When I was shooting a new gun and the OAL was too long, the bullet jammed in the rifling, I was in the same boat. I knew the striker was not cocked (different platform) so that made it easier. I put the grip against a hard surface ( my tailgate) and hit the slide at the level of the guide rod with a gunsmith’s hammer. As long as you are off to the left (not over ejection port), you are pretty safe . Obviously you want to hold the hammer as far back as possible so that your hand is no where near the barrel.

I have fought the same issue. For me it all had to do with the right wrist. It is hard to explain, but if I kept strong hand wrist more straight, the problem goes away. I am still trying to get it down subconscious. I do disagree with the person above. It is a terrible problem to have (almost every penalty i get is from pulling the second shot low) because most NS and hard cover is beneath the target so unless you were shooting doubles beyond 15 yards, it is worth taking the time to fix. My theory is that in my attempt to reduce right hand tension, I was moving my right wrist tension (and position) with my trigger finger. When i release the trigger, i unlock the wrist and the gun goes up and when I start to pull the trigger again I relook the wrist and gun goes down. My reasoning is I noticed that when I pull the second shot low, the gun recoils more so it’s not me actually trying to push the gun down.
i have experienced this on multiple platforms and different types of ammo

I am referring to this: https://www.thesigarmorer.com/product/the-sig-armorer-p320-competition-level-kit-with-flat-trigger/
Although now I notice he also has this kit presumably for use with the Keres trigger: https://www.thesigarmorer.com/product/the-sig-armorer-p320-core/
Ok, that is not what I was talking about so I can’t comment on it. I actually sent my guns to him.

What do you think of that barrel/slide combo?

1. Gray Guns Modern Classic Slide/Barrel 4.7" Bull barrel either Lockwood or standard.
I don't know if you get anything extra with the Lockwood other than looks.
2. TXG grip module
4. Springer Precision tungsten guide rod
5. Shooting Sports Innovations tungsten grip weight
6. trigger: either a GG kit or the new Sig Armorer kit
Spend more money and send it all to the Sig Armorer.
That gun would end up being pretty heavy for a 320. You may not want both of the tungsten accessories.
Also do something to enhance the grip texture.
Either a silicon carbide grip job or stippling or my new favorite which is Vicious Skateboard Tape.
That pretty much sums it up IMO. I have same setup except the stock barrel/slide.

Alma Cole did an awesome job but I am not sure if he is still doing them.

If you are referring to sending the gun off to Robert and and having him do the competition trigger then yes, it is worth it. The trigger is more crisp, almost no overtravel. Best striker trigger out there with the exception of a tuned Canik. I like the GG kit . Huge improvement in the weight for the record.

Yeah that would be helpful.

I ordered one on March 19 and just got notification it shipped 2 days ago.

If that’s at 25 yards, I didn’t think that was possible out of this gun. Very impressive!!!

Mine was never that heavy. It got lighter after dry fire/live fire, but never that weight. FYI I ran GG springs in one of my guns with Burke’s trigger job and it ran fine

That is true but that is only one factor in risk analysis.
It would be interesting (but extremely difficult) to analyze the probability of a discharge during holstering vs falling vs dropping a loaded pistol.
Then maybe we could come at this from a rational point of view instead of an emotional/opinion-based point of view.
And not use click-bait titles.......
Agreed. That would be extremely valuable data.

Thanks for detailed analysis. Though I have been shooting the Legion for over a year, I have never analyzed the accuracy in great detail.
I loaded 125 gn Blues at a 132 PF and shot it at 10 and 25 yards free hand and found it accurate enough. I really should try some different loads. -
The break and reset are very crisp. I don’t know how to post a video but shoot me a PM with your number if you would like me to text you one. Short of a Canik it is best striker fire trigger out there according to fellow USPSA guys who are more sensitive to triggers than myself.
Is it really possible to make the gun recoil straight up and down?

I worked on this for quite a while. Agree that it is a neutral grip that’s important although I struggled to figure out what neutral is. The platform (specifically how the gun fits in your hands) also makes a difference. I don’t put the grip/tension the same on a Canik vs the Sig. Now that I have mostly overcome this issue, I have seen constantly improvement in my shooting and placement.
