Thanks for all the input, I am going to try the EGW guide rod and a couple of different spring weights to see what works best

I have a STI Grandmaster 9MM Major gun that I am looking to change the recoil master to a conventional guide rod and spring to allow better tuning. Currently shooting 124 FMJ with 8.4Gr of HS6 to make 175PF. What would you suggest for a guide rod and spring combination as a starting point

PPC - K frame Charlton custom PPC revolver (super smooth), M&P for duty pistol IPSC - running classic right now with a STI Spartan 9MM , will be buying an open gun in the next month (likely STI again in 9mm major) IDPA - M&P and 1911 SAM Sigma 9 3 gun - M&P Core with Vortex red dot, Mossberg 930, custom built by me AR on Aero upper/lower with Voodoo tactical barrel ( haven't used it in competition yet as I just finished this winter, but it shoots lasers) Reloading for all calibers with a Dillon 650
