  1. I have an email into czc about a TS topend cut to fit on an so-01 lower.   I put my frame and TSO slide on the scale to get an idea of weight.   Looks like it will make a nice ESP gun.   The mag puts it just a hair under 43oz.

  2. I think I mentioned the Accu because it was the specific gun that the question was asked towards Brian.

The SP-01, Shadow, and Shadow target are good to go without a doubt.   Here is my SP-01 on a scale.  It has the factory mag and Cajun internals along with CZ custom sights.   Right around 40oz give or take.  How much does the magwel weigh in general?

  3. It was verified in a response by B. Ehler somewhere in one of the post I had asking about it.  You no longer have to get to ESP through SSP with the SP-01 so the Accu is legal for ESP.   Hell any legal thing you do to the SP-01 now to go to ESP is legal (inclusive list).  Before the issue was the bushing or sight milling made it non legal for SSP so it wasnt legal for ESP.  You can in theory run a SAO SP-01 or Shadow now also in ESP.

I don't know what else the rulebook says because I stopped reading there as its a big improvement.  The messed up part it was a few days after I sold my Edge or I would have thrown a bushing barrel in that bad boy and try to make weight.    They took the FLDC issue out of ESP and CDP so if you wanted to even run something like a Les Baer Monolith you could if it made weight.

Can anyone tell me what all comes with the gun?  How many mags, accessories, etc?

I fondled one today at Defender outdoors.   It had 3 mags, manual, some small bits, and a CD.

$1784 is what they were asking btw.   Seems supply is drying up and the price is coming up also.

Contacted one of the people on GB and they have them for $1699/shipped

I missed the boat on the Shadow Orange   so I figure just throw that money this way.

  5. Do you think it's possible to shave enough weight off of a TSO to make ESP weight?    With the dust cover rule being ditched the only thing I see holding it back is weight.   48oz > 43oz

    Possible spots to reduce

is the listed weight with thumb rest?

Tri top the slide- should shave a hair

chop some beaver tail down-  minimal

there is already a little material pulled from the front and back where it's thicker on a regular TS.  I felt them up side by side at defender today and  the Orange is a huge improvement.  Probably gonna get one but would like to be able to use it for more than just messin around.

Does anyone one have a TSO they can put on a scale at factory config?

Wait what, really? Had to have been a mistake. They said all of them were already sold!

I had it in my cart and was checking out,  ran into a password issue and it went from in stock to out of stock once I got that fingered out.

  7. We are in Stock show mode.  I planned on taking it apart this morning and comparing.  I should be able to find time to throw it down side/side with my Pro and see.

Unsure on sights and they are not marked.    It was brand new about this time yesterday. I picked it up from the dealer and made our local match with it.  I think it came to him from Lipseys but may have been Hicks.

Ive been fiddling with it and the texture is  sharp/sticky as heck.   I passed this thing around the safe table with a couple of guys who really liked the texturing on the 2.0 vs the CORE/Pro's they were shooting.   The Pro's come with the same textured backstop but the fronts are normal M&P "light texture" I guess you would call it.

Ive been side/side on the trigger more today between it and my Pro.  My Pro has some APEX work in it and its nice.  The 2.0 is pretty close but has a little creep.   For off the shelf its a good trigger.

  8. I was given a 2.0 today to play with and shot it at tonights match.   I have the 5" Pro model also.

I like the feel and texture of the gun.

Trigger is nice out of the box

Reset has a nice audible click and is nice

Nice sights,  front is red fiber and the back is adjustable.

Mag release appears to be metal on this one.

    Dislikes

Safety- Its ok but honestly why?

The slide stop....  Not sure what they were going after but whatever the thing is in front of the slide stop keeps it from dropping when the mag is inserted.  Some people like that some don't.  I am in the don't crowd but I understand why people would.

Loaded chamber indicator as built on the 5" gun.  Not a fan because thats space that could have been used for the optics mount.

The internal trigger stuff appears to be slightly different.  I didn't put it on a scale but it has a nice break with a bit of creep.

  9. They have to allow it because the way its written.   Pulling off the FLDC section on ESP and CDP opens the doors for a few weapons.   One that comes to mind is a STI Rangemaster if it makes weight.   The Les Baer Monolith would also make the list if the weight is right.  These guns were not ESP legal before because they did not meet the SSP requirements.

It should also open ESP up to the Cajun bushing because again its not listed on the non-inclusive list.

  10. Rowdy I am not talking about shooting it in SSP.  I am talking about shooting it in ESP.  Its definitely not allowed in SSP because of the slide machining for the sights/recoil assembly.  Thats the reason the targets and ascu's were not ESP legal because the mods put it out of SSP.  Pulling the FLDC rule off of ESP changed the whole legalities of that now.

the accu isn't legal because CZC isn't a manufacturer according to idpa. the only place you can get an accu is CZC making you one.

guns from czc that are "target" models are illegal because of the slide miiling for the lpa sights. the guns don't come from cz-ub or even cz-us with a lpa sight cut.

doesn't seem like what is in the ghost 2017 rule book changes any of these facts.

But it does because you do not have to get to ESP VIA SSP any longer.  In ESP you can have milled slides for different style sights.   That only mattered before because the SSP rules.

8.2.2.2 ESP Permitted Features and Modifications (Inclusive list):

    1. Sights may be changed to another notch and post type. Slides may be machined to accept different style sights.

  12. I think this lets it into ESP B_Rad,

    Quote
    1. Recoil spring guide rods and dual spring recoil systems made of material that is no heavier than stainless steel.

    2. Slide inserts to accommodate a different recoil assembly design.

You have this still there but technically your not removing material from the exterior of the slide.

    Quote

8.2.2.3 ESP Excluded Features and Modifications (Non-Inclusive list):

    1. Removal of material from the exterior of the slide other than front cocking serrations, tri-top, engraving, carry melts, and high power cuts.
