Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Is Hodgdon 700X and IMR 700X the same powder?
  2. I'm not sure what some call it but i was taught the "Duck Walk." Knees close together but not touching, step heal to toe, no bouncing, slow is smooth smooth is fast.
  3. I've tried it different ways and wasted 100 primers and bullets, I'll think move along. The Unique performed quite well 4.0 produced 3" at 2 yds of off of the rest but had 4 stoppages, stove pipe, and FTF, just a little under powered. 4.2 did nearly as well without the stoppages. Very low recoil, almost like a pop gun.
  4. If I can find some locally I'll give it a try. I have 4 lbs of Unique so I decided to load some 147 ovre 4.0 gr and 4.2 gr. I'llI see how those do tomorrow.
  5. I recently started loading heavy bullets(147gr.PD) with fast powde (TG) for my G17. I Iaddered from 3.2 to 3.5 and experimented with COL from 1.10" to 1.165" and accuracy is terrible. Round about 8" to 10" groups off of a rest at 25 yds and 6" at 15 yds. From What I've read this is one of the most widely used loads for IDPA. This is my first attempt at loading heavy for caliber bullets. TG has been my go to powder for 40 cal for years and it performs well with 115 and 124 plated RN. Any suggestion ?
  6. I'm not new to reloading or shooting but I'm new to IDPA and I'm told this is the best site to be on for all three.
