  1. Might try looking at Carver. I use stainless captured, and shoot with the screw removed. Then only put the screw in when removing/installing the rod in the pistol.
  2. I have both Gen 3 and 4. I prefer the beavertail back straps on the 4 to help prevent slide bite with a high grip, but that’s about it. Haven’t tried the 5’s yet.
  3. Not sure what comes with that kit. I can tell you what Combo that I use. TTI grandmaster 3.25 connector, stock trigger spring reduced plunger spring, 4# Wolff striker spring with lightened striker. I use Federal primers and change the striker springs out about every 3K rounds. Have not had any problems.
  4. I’d say get both a 4 & 4.5# and if you really like the feel of the 4 better, then buy a lightened striker.
  5. I believe that you may be onto something.
  6. It’s raining, matches are canceled. So I thought I’d vote again
  7. 1. Maybe in the technical section. 2. Carry Optics thanks
  8. I’ve done this also. Not a bad idea to check the angle when installing a new connector.
  9. That is correct, but it gets watered down as the topics are spread out in several places. Just thinking it would be better and easier to browse and find information on the subject.
  10. As the popularity seems to be increasing, I was thinking that it might be nice if Carry Optics had its own sub forum in the techinal section like factory, 1911, open, and pcc. Or just call me crazy!
  11. I have astigmatism also. Using the 6.5 RMR07. No problems and it actually looks round for a change.
  12. I'd be interested in hearing others experiences also. I'm currently shooting a 17, and have been thinking of getting a 19 to set up similar.
  13. I believe the same thing lacivilian.
  14. I've been running the rmr rm07 and really like it.
