  2. Yes, also the up and down tolerance was bad. Not sure the exact numbers JPL stated for the slide to frame fit but it bad be stated. I will see if John can give more details. All I know is it's on point now. As for building a new gun, the fact it had to be done after shooting 500 rounds. Was told the round count wasn't high just didn't know. All is well though. 3. Posted a thread on getting a open gun. Was confronted via IM from a member here named Open gun. Stated he had a gun to sell. Asked for pics and tolerance of said gun. Told him I wasn't worried about finish. More about quality and tolerance. Paid $2300. When I got it the tolerance was horrible. Shot 500 rounds and the slide cracked. Contacted Opengun about it and he paid a 1/4 of what it cost to build a new top. He had just got the gun from another shooter. Who I still don't know. Had JPL presion looked at it and built me a new top. JPL presion said the person who built the old top didn't know what he was doing. Got my gun back from JPL pesion and now it's time for some brake in. This is a way better gun then what was . Perceived on the first one. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
  4. I have shot both and I would have to say shooting 45 is good for points if your not very accurate or accurate but not much speed in reloads, splits, transitions and movement. But if you are all of the above consider this. The 9 will give you 2 extra rounds. If you are A-zone all the way, got speed on reloads, splits, transitions and movement then IMO this would be the best platform to play with. Regardless there is and will be someone better. 12. I'm not new to USPSA as I've shot more SS and Loved it. Want to go to Open. 2 NEW platforms I'm going for as a now purchase. Want a Steel grip. Gun 1: CZ Checkmate open 9mm package with mags= $3000/w scope Gun 2: EAA witness Gold team 38= $1900-scope Not familiar with any of these guns and am MORE concerned about QUALITY and FIT. Not the price difference. Everything else can be altered. Thanks for your help as there has been some already which is much appreciated.

  15. Thank you all for your input. I'm now on the fence. Does it kick really bad even in 38 with any kind of powder used to meet major? Also if I or should I say can I replace Comp on 9 barrel that has one port and also have another hole drilled by a Smith help? Thanks all for the Welcomes.
