  1. I've tried Pro Grip and Grauffel's Fast Grip. Can't really tell a difference. Both are expensive for a tiny bottle. I've found I only like to use it on my weak hand.
  2. Just ordered it. I have a metronome app on my phone but am not sure how to run the drill correctly.
  3. This. Dry fire all you can. I've been dry firing for 50-60 minutes in the morning before work, 6 days a week for a month and a half. The results will amaze you. My 7 yard draw went from 2.0 to 1.2. Bill Drill from around 5.00 to 2.8 all A's El Prezidente from 11.00 to 6.8 (reloads and transitions still need a lot of work) ETA: Stoeger's Dot's drill is humbling bitch of a drill.
  4. I'm a fairly new shooter and I noticed I do the same thing on high speed dry fire Bill Drills. I can hit all A's in a live Bill Drill in about 2.8s and all A's in about 5.3s for a 25yd Bill Drill. I guess what I'm saying is don't sweat it too much and keep dry firing. That's what I'm doing.
  5. Looks like we're in the same boat. I was shooting 1.35ish 7 yd draws yesterday, all A's and my reloads continue to suck. But I am dry firing an hour a day 6 days a week and have improved dramatically in a little over a month.
  6. I get that smurf dust all over the garage door going in and out.
  7. Thanks. On a whim picked up 8# of Clays and have been hesitant to use it for 9mm (which is all I load). I was going to use it for trade fodder. May try it out now.
  8. This. Also been loading this: 147gr RN Blue Bullet 3.8gr CFE Pistol 1.15 OAL
  9. That's a lot of variation. I get around .008" variation with my 650 using Blue Bullets.
  10. Dude, get the 650. I just started reloading about 3 months ago with a 650 as my first press. Learning curve isn't bad at all.
  11. Actually a real, real man would set up his 1050 on the wife's side of the master bathroom vanity. She could crank out a few rounds while putting her makeup on in the morning.
  12. I'm buying that exact shed tomorrow. Gonna put a mower in it. Real men reload in the garage.
  13. Yes. I learned this the hard way also. Cases packed full of the stuff.
  14. I'd never reloaded before and bought a 650 and 9mm dies from Brian about a month ago. I bought the base machine thinking I'd gradually add what I needed as I go. Pfffffffttt. In the past two weeks I bought the case feeder, strong mount, bullet tray, tool holder, Inline Fab handle, spare parts kit and powder alarm. I think I need counseling. It's a sweet machine and I'm glad I jumped right to it instead of going with an SBD or 550.
