  1. What projectiles are you using in your load data?
  2. Patrick, contact Max Michele Sr. at Max's Choice. He sold and installed them for me. He is very knowledgeable and will give you good advice.
  3. Just purchased a 45 Max, had it shipped straight to gunsmith, he removed series 80 parts and performed some trigger work. Trigger breaks clean at 3lbs and gun shoots great. Ran about 500 rounds through it so far with no issues and pistol shoots very good. Fit and finish is very good.
  4. I have swapped all of my MBX 40sw mags springs and followers with Grams and have never had an issue. will be replacing my 9mm MBX mags springs and followers in near future with Grams.
  5. Matt Cheely from CK Arms recommended FP-10 to me. Never had a issue with any of my Limited or open guns with this product. Thicker than some lube.
  6. Somewhere between 6.5 to 6.8 CFE with 124 precision delta projectiles will make major this should be a good starting point
  7. I have had no issues with MBX mags in CK limited and open guns. I have switched my springs and followers to grams in my 40 caliber mags.
  8. I would contact CK Arms and ask what is there thoughts on the shorty model. I know most builders build the shorty for steel and mostly to use minor loads. My opinion is, the full size gun would be much better for USPSA with major loads. Recently went through similar studies and I sold couple of guns and just ordered a Phantera from Julian. Good luck with your decision
  9. Thanks, will work on this in my dry firing practice and live practice
  10. I made it to B class in Limited and Open in my first year, but made a mistake today during a reload I discharged a round. My Question is: where do you put your trigger finger while reloading and during movement in a stage? on frame or out to the right? best way to practice reloads and transitions? thanks!!!
  11. I have had good luck with CK Arms Limited guns, wanting to hear comments on their 9mm major open pistols. Accuracy, dependability, recoil "flattness or muzzle rise". Debating a full custom.
  12. The Edge is STI 's flagship, Executice is very nice, and the Eagle is now discontinued. If you are not going to shoot competition you may want to consider a 1911 in 9mm. As stated in a previous post, mags and pistol would be less expensive. If You are sure you want a 2011, you may want to consider a CK Arms 2011. I alsways recommend visiting a USPSA match and talking to participants. Good luck in your decision.
  13. I recently removed my steel grip on my open gun and went back to polymer. Never achieved the same times shooting steel plate racks as I did with polymer. Also switch to a Limcat Limited gun with HBAR with polymer and guns shoots flatter than my steel grip Limited gun.
  14. Yes, I feel the recoil is softer with the 200 grain projectiles.
  15. The 5 inch Edge is the standard for USPSA and will probably have a better resale value. You may want to consider CK Arms Thunder, better internal parts and finish in my opinion. i would only buy a pistol with Bomar style rear sight and fiber optic front. Visit a local match and discuss with owners of both, you will see way more Edge models than Eagles.
  16. JP GMR13 glock mags, accurate, fast handling and good customer service
  17. Battlecat has now fired over 900 rounds without a hiccup. Gun has ran flawless !! shot my first match with it today and was my overall best match! very satisfied with purchase
  18. Lock you slide back and insert mag. Check the front of the mag and see if it is hitting the feed ramp. I have two CK Arms and one Freedom Gunworks, on one of the pistols the feed ramp is slightly protruding. My MBX mags were hitting the feed ramp and after time they began to slightly bend the nose inward. Causing the nose of the bullets to catch and cause jams. Took me awhile to figure out. We compare the MBX mags to SV mags and MBX mags are longer in the front. Had two choices, trim the feed ramp or trim mags. We elected to trim front of mags and never had an issue again.
  19. Personally I have had no issues with Federal, S&B and Winchester. I know Max Sr. uses majority of WInchester primers and he shoots thousands of rounds in an open gun.
  20. The Problems with the RTS2 seemed to be resolved, but I think a traditional slideride or railway would be a better sight for a Carbine. Field of view and larger glass will help you with speed. I went with an AImpoint comp m4 compared to smaller T1 because larger field of view.
  21. I never remove any of my sights once they are sighted in. I would consider removing my AImpoint but it is set it up co-witness. No reason to take off.
  22. My JP GMR 13 has been great!! Gun has ran flawless since new. It has gobbled all factory and my reloads. Accuracy has been outstanding with my reloads. You cannot go wrong if you decide on a GMR13.
  23. You will be satisfied with anything you buy from JP!
