  1. If the picture is accurate, those look like it’s for the Small Frame but that’s just a guess. Small Frames can use CZ Magazines, and the photo looks like a CZ mag. Can’t tell if the listing is for the Large Frame or the Small Frame. Edit: I just looked up the UPC, and the listing is for a Small Frame Tanfoglio.
  2. I’m guessing it has to do with the ogive profile of both bullets. Even though they are both 135gr and appear similar, the might be dimensionally different. Did you plunk test both bullets? Some barrel chambers can load long, and some have to load short. Just looking at the 1.19” number I’m inclined to say it’s a little too long.
  3. Extended Firing Pin with 8.5# Hammer Spring with Federal Primers is probably the lightest you can go. I’m sure you can get it to work going lighter, but you’ll be chasing reliability.
  4. I assume you are usingCZC basepads are adding capacity. If that's the case, usually the advice is to upgrade the springs and followers to Grams Engineering. The follower is smaller in design, and the springs are part of the complete package.

    Trigger sticking

You have a over travel screw? If so, back it out. When you have that screw in place and with the rounds through it, you’ll wear a simple/divot in the poly coat that will alter the reset point.
  6. The idea behind replacing both the sear and hammer at the same time is so that they are mated and wear together. If you have a high round count hammer and sear, the engagement angles of the sear and the hammer engagement surface are mated, and replacing one might give you hammer follow or a mushy hammer/sear engagement. Since you are saying that there is no camming in single action, you might just try removing the disconnector to just get a feel and decide if you want to replace a flat/SAO trigger. The SP-01 Shadow should have a competition hammer already, and a 85C trigger.

Fiber Optics is a good way to go. The Cajun Gun Works EZD940 Fiber Optic Set is a good set to get. Haven't had to buy another EZD set in awhile, but the set I received a while back was made by Dawson Precision, and Cajun Gun Works might have their sights still be made by them. .
  8. Go to your local hardware store, and get two #54 drill bits. Cut the first one to the shank to make a punch out of it, and use the second one to do the drilling. Go slow and easy.
  9. Ditto $649 isn’t terribly bad, but I’d apply the money towards a non-decocker model.
  10. Check the usual suspects: -Trigger Overtravel Screw -Trigger Bar Spring Then, look at the disconnector. https://cajungunworks.com/disconnector-timing/
  11. I’ve often heard that you should change both the hammer and the sear if you replace one or the other, depending on the round count. Check the hammer and the sear for wear or rounding.
  12. Nothing wrong with the plastic guide rod. It's sole purpose is to keep the recoil spring parallel with the barrel and not binding. This being said, I upgraded mine because it looked cool.
  13. Pin already coming out? Perfect! Usually it's staked lightly on both sides to prevent it from walking, but you almost have to demolish it to get it out when you have to replace the Trigger Return Spring. I would rate installing the Pro-Package a 3. It's not terribly difficult, plenty of Youtube Videos and posts here to guide you. Just be patient, have all the tools and parts ready, and give yourself plenty of time.
  14. The gun out of the box is a really good shooter, get some rounds through it and break it in. Along with Grumpy’s recommendation, I recommend replacing the stock Firing Pin Assembly with the Cajun Gun Works Extended Firing Pin system. If you dry fire a lot, it’ll help.
  15. Dang. I’m not dryfiring enough as I’m not breaking my TRS enough Before CZCustom came out with their custom TRS, I was using a Cajun Gun Works TRS and it broke after about 5K. I didn’t have a extra and it was at a match so I went back to the stock TRS and never remembered to order/change it back. Sure, it “adds” a heavier trigger but I feel it’s minuscule now.
  16. Large Frame or Small Frame? Small Frame works with CZs. I don’t think Large Frame works with anything else but Large Frame Tanfoglios.
  17. If you have a Small Frame Tanfoglio, the CZ magazine might work. I use some old mags I designate for dry fire, and I have them loaded with rounds with no powder or primers, and I top off each mag with a orange Rogers TRT Tap Rack Dummy Ammo. These things are really slick, you can use them for tap/rack drills without catching/chambering a round. These things can be bought on Amazon, too.
  18. I’d run a plunk test to determine as low as you can go. 1.12” isn’t bad-short, but at least with a plunk test you can see what you can work with without reaming.

    S2 trigger issue

The overtravel screw doesn't have a "critical function" to the operation of the gun, so taking it out completely is usually what everyone does. It is just a customized stop point for your trigger so that you don't have to go the extra 1-2mm of overtravel. During competition, the least of my worries is the feel of my trigger over travel. I'm not that good of a shooter to know that minute of a difference in overtravel, either
  20. Thank you for your review! Patiently waiting for Friday!

    S2 trigger issue

Yep, same here! Over time, the overtravel screw divots into the polycoat/finish, and the overtravel stop point becomes different to the point that it doesn't fully break.
  22. I think they both look good. You are basically making a Limited Pro lookalike with the bottom photo
