  1. The front page says: "This moonclip is used in IDPA, IPSC, Steel Challenge and ICORE competitions." https://www.ezmoonclip.com/ But yep, only for rimless cartridges.
  2. For posting videos, it is usually best to put them on youtube, or similar, and then post a link here. Judging by the excavator and pickup truck, the bays do not look particularly large - but I see 7 of them, which isn't bad at all, as long as you are not planning to host any major Matches.
  3. IPSC Rules have similar wording: 10.2.1 A competitor who fires shots while any part of their body is touching the ground or any object beyond a Fault Line will receive 1 procedural penalty for each occurrence. No penalty is assessed if a competitor does not fire any shots while faulting except when Rule 2.2.1.5 applies. 10.2.1.1 However, if the competitor has gained a significant advantage on any target(s) while faulting, he may instead be assessed 1 procedural penalty for each shot fired at the subject target(s) while faulting. During the summer, I RO'd a stage with a wall beyond a Fault Line. I'm sure some momentarily touched the wall during recoil. But it can be hard to see, so I didn't worry about it. One competitor was clearly leaning on the wall for multiple shots. I judged one Procedural to be sufficient.
  4. Precision rifles can be pretty powerful. ... and shotgun games are definitely fast.
  5. So, you still do accuracy, power, and speed
  6. So, are you shooting something else instead?
  7. 20? Recently, I¨ve been seeing IPSC matches in my area going for 6, or so. That might not always be feasible for small local matches but seems highly efficient for slightly bigger ones where you have a crew running the stages.
  8. I don't see why regular 9mm dies wouldn't work, adjusted for case length.
  9. If the pistol is for IPSC, Open is the only possible current Division, anyway. I've heard that Standard Optics might be under consideration, though. I could like a pistol like that, whatever it is for. Except I'd worry about the durability of the optic. ----------- ... I see sportshooter.de still puts some sweets in their packages It has been a while since I bought some belt and holster stuff from them, and got the sweets too.
  10. I don't see a safety issue. There might or might not be a reliability issue. Pistol rounds are supposed to headspace on the case mouth. The difference in case length is small but, depending on the extractor, the case might move when the firing pin is striking the primer. Also, .356TSW is designed for more power than 9x19 or 9x21. The recoil spring could be too much for the "lesser" rounds. Have you seen this article from 2021? https://www.ssusa.org/articles/2021/3/10/356-tsw-a-comeback-kid/
  11. The site seems to work OK from Finland. The Shop page has these notes: INFORMATION From November 12th, you will not be able to pay by credit card for a while. If you are considering purchasing by credit card, we recommend that you complete your payment by November 11th. From November 12th, the only payment method for the time being will be bank transfer. Please be informed that we will be closed for the Vacation from November 2th to December 7th. Orders placed during this period will be shipped after December 7th. And yes: N-277 seems to be in stock.
  12. Why do you want to buy it? Seems to me that it would be a curiosity or collectors item. Cannot tell from the photo if it is dirty or if there are really gouges in the metal.
  13. Is it established that this is a gun problem and not a holster problem? I recall a case where a pistol went off in a holster. The pistol had some wiggle room in the holster and certain movements allowed something inside the holster to move the trigger.
  14. If you cannot find an Everglades, you could get the original that it was copied from: https://viranomainen.fi/en/p83923/slb-gen3-ipsc-holster
  15. "Glock pistols with the lower rear hump on the grip frame are well known for causing the pistol to point too high." Yep. I know there's people who are not able to hit a target if the grip is different from a 1911 grip. DL products do look like quality items.
  16. It does happen that I go and shoot a match with my six-gun: just for fun and not expecting to beat anybody. Last time, I remember one of the good Production (or Production Optics?) shooters commenting that I broke down a stage in an interesting way to make it, more or less, work with six rounds in the cylinder.
  17. Are VZ N-frame grips any good? https://vzgrips.com/shop-all/revolvers-grips/s-w-n-frame-grips/
  18. IPSC Rule books: https://www.ipsc.org/ipsc-rules/rule-books/
  19. IPSC Rules stipulate a high percentage of Short stages: max 12 hits to score. Even there, you might sometimes have to do a standing reload with a 6-shooter. On Medium (max 24 hits) and Long (max 32 hits) stages, you are definitely doing more reloads and quite likely need to do some of them standing.
  20. If you want a Glock for Production, get a 17 and practice. Having tried some Glock triggers, and listened to others who have tried more, Gen 2 Glocks have pretty decent triggers, as far as stock Glock triggers go ... and they don't have the annoying finger grooves. ... I don't really get people who are unable to hit anything with a Glock because grip angle is different from a 1911 I have no major problems transitioning between Glock, 1911, and my revolver.
  21. Changing color or finish is definitely allowed. But how do you read: """"" 18. Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted, subject to the following: 18.1 Modifications to them, other than minor detailing (the removal of burrs and/or adjustments unavoidably required in order to fit replacement OFM parts or components), are prohibited. Other prohibited modifications ... """""
  22. I have a tendency to quit hobbies at the point where I start taking it seriously and/or taking responsibility for running stuff. So... I don't dry fire all that much. I don't "train" at the range: I shoot some targets and do some drills for fun - if the weather isn't too bad I don't go to all that many Matches. I volunteer to RO stages at local Matches but do not plan to take responsibility of the bigger picture.
  23. Muzzle awareness can leave you under pressure. Doing a panic reload while moving towards the weak hand side of the stage? Tripping isn't cause for DQ in itself - but can you keep pointing downrange, whatever happens? Where is your gun hand when the stage requires retreating? Are you sure you will not sweep yourself while opening a door or grabbing a prop? Some have their trigger finger uncomfortably near the trigger while loading, reloading or unloading. I heard of a DQ for slapping a handful of empty cases on the Safe table...
  24. I have only tried a CZ TS, with a wide safety, for a few shots. I found that I could not flip the safety on with my strong hand thumb.
