Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Ordered one for my PSA and it didn't fit, so I gave it to a buddy that has an ATI and it fit great.
  2. PCC 5.2.1.4 Pistol caliber carbines may be transported or stored without a slip or case, whether or not reasonably vertical, in a mobile rack or carrier as long as a chamber safety flag is used. Ultimately it is up the the MD.
  3. I had a flat wire spring with a stock 5.9oz buffer and the red dot was all over the place no matter how hard I held it. Since dropping to a 2.6oz buffer and a standard 223 spring, the dot barely moves and I think it can get better with less mass.
  4. Buffer spring tension keeps the bolt closed, not the mass of the bolt.
  5. Less mass=less optics bounce but more felt recoil. I have switched from a 5.4oz buffer to a 2.6oz and saw a dramatic reduction in dot movement. I will eventually try a 1oz buffer. While looking at my bolt the other day, I saw the solid mass pinned to my BCG and thought "why does it have to be so heavy and would lightening it give any benefits?"
  6. Has anyone played around with making their BCG lighter, specifically the slug attached to the BCG as pictured ?
  7. That's what I thought too from the pics he has leaked, but apparently there are 2 kits out being put through "real life testing" before the kits will be put into production according to Shane Cox.
  8. The second or third hand info from Yong Lee was that the drop in kits should be released at shot show 2017.
  9. When is the drop in trigger gonna be available and at what price range?
  10. IMO the springer base pads are a horrible design, specifically the retention part. It is just a miniscule set screw that you thread out and you have to modify the magazine tubes to make them work. Plus they don't come with longer springs which allows the followers to get cockeyed and not function properly. After one match I returned them and purchased Taylor Freelance +5 ones that come with springs and have been extremely pleased.

Speaking of trigger jobs. Has anyone heard anymore about Bruce Grays drop in trigger kit? Last thing I heard was from Tim Herron that it might drop on March 1st. That obviously didn't happen. Bruce keeps dropping teaser pics on FB, so he has them built. Idk what he is waiting for.
  12. What would you ask for the gun alone and the whole setup? What all do you have and what brands?
  13. Any idea when and where the grip module will be available?
