Sorry to bump this thread, but I found the information quite helpful and I have a question; do most of you run a 19 lbs mainspring with 9mm minor loads in a 5" no compensator guns?
Not loading for PF, so the velocity doesn't matter. I appreciate your response. Thank you.
I noticed that in the Complete Reloading Manual for the .45 ACP, Nosler lists a 230 FMJ load all the way down to 3.7 gr of Titegroup at 1.200".
I'm looking for a soft shooting practice load and I got a hold of 1,000 Berry's RN 230 gr plated bullets. I'm using WLPPs and once fired brass. According to Hodgdon, 4.0 gr of Titegroup with a LRN is the minimum and that's with a COAL of 1.200". I'm seating the Berry's to 1.237" +/- 0.003 (appears to be from bullet variation).
Last weekend I tested the load with 4.0, 4.2, 4.4 and 4.6 grains. The 4.0 load felt the best out of the group.
Is it safe to run that light of a load with the bullet seated further out (1.237" vs 1.200") than what Hodgdon has listed or should I bump up the load to 4.2 grains of Titegroup?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
The recoil spring on the SP-01 is fairly heavy. The way to tune the CZ pistols for the proper recoil spring is to have the brass land 6 to 8 feet away with whatever load you normally use. If the 75B is launching your normal load's brass beyond that you should get a new or heavier recoil spring. How many rounds have you put thru the 75B with the current recoil spring?
Supposedly due to the pistol being designed to be used with NATO spec ammo which is pretty hot. NATO spec 9 mm is somewhere around +P and below +P+ loads.
I just loaded up 90 rounds of 124 grain jacketed soft points over 3.5 grs of Clays.
I had a slight brain freeze and now I am looking at the info on Hodgdon's website and they show
only the 125 grain bullet and it puts the 3.5 grains somewhere near max.
What do you guys think? I have searhed the 9mm/38 caliber data here and it looks OK.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
I am looking to replace the trigger on my BarSto 40 and I would like to put in a long flat SOLID trigger.
I have found long flat triggers but they are all skeletonized.
Anyone know?
I have been able to run a HK USP 45, Glock 35, Les Baer TRS, BarSto .40(STI Edge with long dust cover),
S&W PC952, S&W M&P 9mm, out of my Safariland 561. It comes with some hardware that allows you to
adjust the holster to fit MANY different guns.
Safariland 567 won't scratch the gun, is secure, fast, and economical.
I have the predecessor(561) and it is a great holster.
