Thanks for the info, a great reference for me as we have a near identical set up (even to the humidity and temp)!
I just ordered a keg of Sport Pistol, as I just ran out of TG this weekend...
What are you loading on for metering purposes? that's a concern of mine.

FINALLY MADE MAJOR PF
5” 2011 w/KKM Barrel
200 gr Blue Bullet
1.175” OAL
4.2 gr Sport Pistol
Avg FPS = 865 (10 rd string)
PF = 173
Temp: 79
Humidity: 93%
I plan on adjusting my OAL back to 1.185” and testing again. It sounds and feels different than Titegroup..
Not sure if it “feels” softer than TG, but it meters consistently and I have 8 lbs left so I reccon I’ll use it for a while.

Update:
Gun: STI Edge 5”
Temp: 90 degrees
Bullet: Blue Bullets
Weight: 200 gr
OAL: 1.185”
Powder: Alliant Sport Pistol / 3.6 gr
AVG Velocity = 702
Same gun today:
200 gr Blue Bullets
1.175” OAL (Reduced from 1.185”)
3.8 gr Sport Pistol = 765 FPS
4.0 gr Sport Pistol = 795 FPS
No signs of over pressure.

I loaded with 3.4 gr of Sport Pistol with a Blue Bullets 200 gr and almost went sub minor. 3.6 is max so I’m a little concerned about going over, but I’ve got 7.9 lbs left so time to get loading.

I’m in the same exact situation. I’ve decided I’m going to get the Mr Bullet Feeder now and save up for the MK7 for my XL650

Just bought an 8lb jug. Trying to decide on initial load for 200 grain Blue Bullets.

I host Ben annually and would probably recommend starting with the Fundamentals course. It is not a Fundamentals of Shooting class, it is a Fundamentals of Action Shooting class. You will gain a LOT from it.

I've always been told 5K rounds. I'm not sure on a 9 Major gun, but I run a 12.5 lb spring on both my .40 Maj guns.

I'm looking forward to next weekend Robert. See you then sir.

You may as well buy a tumbler and head over to the reloading forum so you can begin to realize that you need an XL650 and a second or third job.
Welcome to your new addiction! You're not alone.

Hornady One Shot spray. Rubbermaid container and shake. Let dry 30 minutes.

With a DAA Racemaster holster and a tuned 2011 @ 5 yards just under 1, but I'm trying to work down to .8 at 5yds.

I tried to shoot Limited Minor for a season because it's what I had from IDPA. It turned out to be a painful lesson. Much like everyone else, I now have a pair of 2011's and my Glocks keep each other company in the safe.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

No, do not glue the two "toothed" discs together!
The toothed washer or "disc" that is pressed into the body of the pouch can slip on the pouch. It will almost look like it is molded onto the pouch itself, but it is pressed into the pouch. This relationship is what I glued together. It does not affect the ability to adjust the cant of the pouch.
Wow, thanks for clarifying. That could have turned out pretty bad for me.

No prob.
If the screw is tight, but the pouch will still wiggle with a little force, it is either loose on the belt, or has the issue I described above.
the teeth in the actual adjustment will not wiggle if the screw is snug.
I guess I better be very certain that I have the right angle before I super-glue the teeth together.

Well, the two MBX mags arrived. Feeding appears to be great so far, but one of them will not drop free. (Neither of them are brand new, so I can't say definitively whether it's a production issue, or if this one has been dropped, etc.)

Make sure you degrease the screws and the female insert before applying LocTite. I have been using Racers for both production and single stack for several years and have never had them loosen with blue LocTite. I soak the screws in Acetone for 10 minutes before I assembled them, and then used a Q-tip to put some acetone in the female threads. Try not to get the acetone on the plastic. If they are not degreased properly before hand the LocTite will not hold.
I will also take this into account and see if it will help the problem. Thanks for the advice.

If we are talking Racers, then the screw should not have to be very tight to keep the "teeth" locked together.
What CAN happen on Racers, is that the "toothed" washer that is pressed into the mag pouch body can develop some play between it and the body of the pouch. The pouch will tilt just slightly in either direction even when the screw seems snug. I have put a few drops of super glue between the two to cure this in the past.
Thanks, maybe that's what is going on, because the screw is VERY tight, but there is still some play as soon as I pull the mag out just a few times.

I can't wait! We have a full squad of folks from down here in DFW. (Maybe I'll win some more gun lube from a random unknown company. =)

Never give up during the match. I've let myself get flustered and focused on a mistake during a match and beat myself up over it. It ruined a day that I paid for with the goal of having fun and spending time with my friends. I got so serious my second season in IDPA that I stopped shooting majors with people I knew because I didn't want to get distracted. When things went bad, then all I had was a frustrating day shooting with folks I didn't know or care about. After that season, I decided that I was not making a dime shooting IDPA or USPSA and that if I didn't place well, that at least I had my friends there to lean on (or make fun of me).

I've got a set of 3 racer pouches for my 2011 and they have play in them after one dry-fire session. They never get any looser so I'm not worried about them falling off, but it is annoying to have your mags changing angles all the time. I've tried blue and green Loctite, but neither of them helped. Any suggestions are appreciated.
