  1. Anyone know if there is a difference between the followers for CZ's and Tanfo's? would hate to order some and find out they are the same as the 4 that I already own. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  2. I had that problem with both of my Henning Magwells. I ended up removing a good bit of material from the magwell to blend it to the frame. At some point I will refinish the magwell but, not really a big deal for me because that area gets scraped up anyway. I started with a couple of hand files and after that used several grits of sandpaper. I finished with 1500 grit. Even with the blending some material had to be removed from the 170's to drop free. It is very smooth now and all extended mags drop free without issue. In place of refinishing you could also polish the entire inside of the magwell to remove all the black and will end up with a very shiny silver interior to your magwell. That route takes a good while and will require several passes with a dremel and blue magic. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  3. Have you looked at the Wolff website? They usually have springs that Henning and BSPS do not sell. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  4. @ aandabooks The 97B is amazing! I converted one to SAO. I will take the "Pepsi challenge" against any 1911 out there with that bad boy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  5. I am really loving my new Shadow Tac2 from cz custom. I picked up a bunch of springs to "tune" it. The darn thing is so nice out the box that they are getting returned. I do have some LOK palm swells inbound and I put a FO front sight on it. That is it. In Single Action mode the trigger is easily as good or better than any of my fully tuned/custom guns that I own. Eventually this will become a CO gun but I am so happy with how shoots with irons that I may run it this season as a production rig for steel challenge. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks! Definitely keeping the rear sight to start. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  7. I had been meaning to post this for ya. Here is a limited elite slide in .40 on top of a gold match xtreme frame. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  8. Anyone know what size dawson or cz custom fo front sight I would need as a replacement to be used with the fixed rear sight with a shadow tac 2? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  9. thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  10. Picked up a shadow tac 2 (well it is being shpped). I notice it comes with 16 round mags. Does anyone know if the 17 round mags will also work with it? I only ask because the frame is shorter and does not have the rail like the standard SP-01 Shadow. Seems like a 75B frame from the pics I am seeing. Not sure if there are any mag compatibility issues with the various types of Shadow models floating around. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  11. Ya I never ended up using the one that I had picked up. It will help facilitate reloads but does nothing to improve grip like the Henning magwell does
  12. What hammer are you using on the one on the right? Looks sweet!
  13. Thanks, I am really happy with it. It shoots very well and feels amazing compared to my older CZ TS that was also chambered in .40. I still need a Unica Hammer for it at some point.
  14. I am a Tanfo shooter and I would reccomend the TS simply for out of the box reliability and a better trigger. The older model TS is built like a tank. If you dont mind tuning the platform the Tanfo has better ergonomics and much better checkering. The Tanfo frame will be more similar to your S2 though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  15. Gold team frame, limited elite upper in .40. Slide was milled and the barrel and slide were re-finished... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  16. A tutorial would be great. Do you chuck the barrel in a lathe to thread? Or do you do it by hand? If you do it by hand do you use a thread alignment tool? I have not been able to find a thread alignment tool with the correct pitch. I probably need to practice a few more times before I am willing to give it a shot on my lathe since I don't want to trash my only extra 6 inch barrel.
  17. Those are the Taylor Freelance 170mm base pads. They work with the standard K9 body. Comes with a spring and a follower. You can also use grams 13 coil spring and follower. The TF spring and follower will get you 27. The grams set up will get you 28. They have been 100% reliable so far with the included spring and follower. At about $50 each they are steal compared to the MBX tubes that must be lubricated with unicorn tears to run properly.
  18. I went to the Home Depot and picked up a couple of M4 socket head screws that were long and used one of those to replace one of my magwell screws that got stripped out a bit. it was around 25mm in length if I remember correctly. If it is a little long it is easy to file it down for a flush fit. I use a Danco o ring as a bushing to help hold it in place
  19. It will fit. The end of the slide will be flush with the frame.
  20. EGW still sells a weld on magwell. It is not as big as the limited magwell. $40 bucks though http://www.egwguns.com/eaa-mag-wells-weld-on/
  21. The Tanfo weaver mount will fit. The mount is rather heavy and you will need an adapter for your DPP. Or you can mill the weaver mount and attach directly to it. I have included a couple of pics of the Arredondo mount. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  22. EGW and Henning make dovetail mounts for the DPP.
  23. There is no direct fit mount for the DPP for the Tanfo. At least not in the states. I picked up an Arrendondo mount with no holes and drilled and countersink the holes for mine.
