I've shot this match from the inception and have enjoyed watching it grow from the first 60 up to over 100. Many officers in my department and all the surrounding departments look forward to this match every year. It is well put together and the sponsors that have committed to the match are amazing. I'm excited to see this go to the national level. Hey Jeremy, any news on the final description of the patrolman division?

I'd say noise and concussion are comparable to a standard 3 baffle/miculek type brake

I'd take a look at Armalite's new tunable comp. I have one on a 13.5" barrel and it does wonders!

+1 for KE Arms. Great product and awesome people to work with. I also have a Seekins, can't go wrong with either one.

I'd say to try a variety. I shot an 18" for the longest time ans swore by it. I have just converted to an Armalite with a 13.5" and pinned tunable comp. I don't know how i dealt with the 18" for so long. I have been able to take my 13.5" out to 500 yards and maintained a near 1/2 MOA accuracy. The tunable comp makes it so the gun barely moves for in close fast shooting as well.

Geissele is hard to beat for all-around performance. For fast shooting I absolutely love my RISE Armament advanced performance trigger. For long range, I like my Jard.

I have had no issues with my Warne and Aero, I haven't tried the Leupold. I had the Burris Pepr and I only use the other two now.

I'm lazy and don't like adjusting my powder bar, so I use 180 for major and 155 for minor, same powder charge. Also helps me to immediately tell them apart if they happen to get mixed up.

I use Tifosi. They started as a cycling type glass and are now getting into other markets. These Tifosi Ordnance just came out and are some of the best eyewear I've used. I wear these everyday over my issued Oakley's and ESS. The high contrast red lens is awesome.

I use my safariland 014. locks into place with the external switch and easily remove by flicking that over and smooth fast draw.

I'm using the armalite 13.5" and absolutely love it. Out to 300 it's amazing and will even reach out to 450-500. nice for running around barricades and with the tunable comp there is barely any muzzle rise at all. I topped it of with a leupold 1-6 and could not be happier!

I've had good luck with my Safariland 014. I like the adjustability and intuitive lock/release switch on the outside versus having to find and throw a lever behind your gun.

I've been shooting with soundgear for two years now. Hove never had any issues at all with them. I have some hearing loss previous so my insurance actually paid for the premium model as a hearing aid. A local audiologist where I shoot does the basic soundgears for around $450. I've even used them when I RO'd nationals last year and they even did pretty good with the open guns.

I've run the TTI for almost a year now, have never had any issues with them at all. Of the 8 I have 4 run Grams followers and springs and the others TTI follower and springs. I cant tell the difference between them.

The 13.5" has run great for me, I've been able to go out to 400-450 consistently and accurately. The lighter weight does allow for a little more floating when taking the longer shots but all in all I think I'm done with 18" barrel lengths. And that tunable comp is amazing!

+1 for the luth-ar. I run the MBA-1, great adjustment and rock solid. if you still want to maintain more LOP adjustability consider the new adjustable MBA-3.

From the list I would go with the STI. However, I would strongly consider a Springfield as well. Both have suited me very well.
