Has anyone tried to 3D print a 22LR magazine insert that would fit in a 45 ACP mag body? Increase the magazine capacity Eliminate the problem with the mag catch

I have been working with a 22 LR upper. When using it on a Match lower was working about 95+%. Have now put it on a Stock 3 lower and after fitting the magazines it is only working about 80%. Most of the time it is light FP strikes with the round going off with a second hit. It feels like the Match does have a heavier hammer spring than the Stock 3 and that could of been changed before it got to my hands. I will try putting in a heavier hammer spring and see if that helps. What I would like to have made up is a new 22 LR firing pin with a rounded tip and just a pinch more length on the back end. That would get rid of the firing pin block and hit the primer a little bit harder.

I looked around but could not find the answer. Was trying to figure out what trigger parts are different in the DA/SA (Stock 3, Full Size Steel and others) and the SA (Match)? Trigger, straight vs curved - does it matter? Trigger bar ? Sear ? Hammer ? no interrupter in SA Thanks

I have a CZ 75B with the hammer pin and keeper pin set up and thought all of the upper models of steel Witnesses pistols did also. Just looked closer at the pictures on the EAA website and saw that not all of the models above the full size steel Witnesses have the hammer pin and keeper pin. So I guess it is a case of - If it ain't broke don't fix it. Wcube2

I know this is not a drop in change of parts. The hole for the hammer pin would need drilled out then counter sunk and a hole drilled for the keeper pin. Was wondering if there was some reason that a Full Size Steel Witnesses frame could not be upgraded to use the solid hammer pin? Thanks Wcube2

I was looking at changing out the roll pin hammer pin in a Full Size Steel Witnesses to the solid pin hammer pin & pin pin like in other models. On the instruction card with the Henning oversize hammer pin and reamer set it says "Do not try to install this on Tanfoglio models that uses the hammer roll pin!" Does anyone know the reason why this would not work on the full size steel frame? Thanks Wcube2

I wear lineless bifocal (progressive) eyeglasses so it is difficult to focus on pistol sights with out tipping my head way back so I would like to put on different sights. I have been looking at websites for LPA, Hennings, Dawson Prec, Kensight and others trying to find an adjustable rear sight that has the square U white outline around the sight notch for a Witness pistol. I started out with one of the Witness 45/22 combos and picked up a Match upper in 9mm and would like to have all the sights looking the same. Looking at the LPA website the MPS2TA07 (all black) is the sight that came on the Match upper. They also have on the website the MPS2TA30 ( two white dots). What would fit the bill would be a MPS2TA sight with the square U outline around the sight notch. Does LPA make that sight and just not have it on the website? If I bought some of the MPS2TA07 sights is there somebody that can put the square U outline onto the sight? Is there another dovetail cut that would come close enough to work with a little bit of fitting? 22 LR upper Rear Sight. There is one sight that has what I am looking for, the TPU95TA18. Will this sight swap out for the rear sight on the 22 LR slide? Front Sight. Looking for a fiber optic front sight to replace the plain blade that is on the 22 LR slide. Is the dovetail for the front sight the same or close to any other pistols? Thanks

Here is my version of a spring tester made from stuff around the house except the scale. Made it big enough to test longer springs. Ruler is held down with double sided tape and used a sharpie to blacken the patch jag for a reference line. I just round off from the decimal point and average several tries. Watch out for the open end of the spring getting jammed up in the hole around the rod as it will jack up the readings.

Does anyone make a plug to fill the FPB hole? Just thinking of keeping the blow back junk off the firing pin.

45 ACP full size steel w/o magazine 37.2 oz w/ empty mag 40.6 oz

I just picked up one of the full size steel 45/22 combo kits. I want to add a 9mm Para upper and also set it up for 9x23. Does the 9mm Para upper work with the 9x23 round? Thinking of the ejection port is it big enough for the 9x23 rounds? How strong should the recoil spring be for 9x23 rounds? I would also like to have a 9mm barrel threaded for a suppresssor. Do any companies make a drop in extended threaded barrel for Witness pistols? Thanks
