Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. DVC. 10-12lb recoil (depending on loads) and 17lb ms
  2. Ill try some of these ideas tonight. Thanks guys!
  3. Barrys, MG, Bayou, BBI. Mostly 180/200, occasionally 165s for minor
  4. I looked last week, but it doesn't look like he makes them anymore. That actually takes time...and I'm pretty lazy. Just looking for something to pop on and off, if do-able.
  5. Is there anything available where I can stop the feeding of my primers and cases, without completely emptying my cases and primers? Currently, I use a large pen to stop the case feed arm and a ziptie to hold back my primer index arm. Any ideas? Edit: I'm using a XL650
  6. As someone who plays in beer hockey league, can confirm, more expensive. Shooting competition is wayyy more fun, so its worth it
  7. I use Dillon everything, except the Udie and Redding comp seat die.
  8. Good info, PKT. I can get CFE pretty easily locally, Ill have to try some for my next loads.
  9. After resizing with the Udie, I still see a slight taper at the bottom of my cases. Is this normal? The lower part of the case measures .421 and the upper part measures .412, its almost like the die does not go down the full length of the case. Any ideas? Edit: Maybe something with the de-primer hitting the bottom of the case?
  10. I will be installing the Udie this week. I didn't know if budged range brass would crush, which is why I was going to size twice. I lightly lube my brass now but I'll coat them a little extra now. I guess the 165s are worth a try, rather than shipping them back. I just need to find the correct load now.
  11. I guess this would be two questions in the same topic but.. I recently (accidentally) ordered 165gr. bayous. Should I return it for my normal 180gr or keep it and try it out. I shoot minor and major .40 with 180gr currently. Any pros/ cons for using 165? Second question.. How do I move my powder measure to station 3 on my Dillon 650 since the rod doesn't easily move? I want to run the Dillon sizer in station 1 and the EGW U die in station 2. Is it do-able without too much modification? Powders: N320, E3, Clays. Pistol: Limited DVC 5" Primers :CCI Mixed Range Brass
  12. The Hodgdon website, for 180gr. bullet, is showing 3.0-3.4grs. Also, keep in mind they're measuring in at 1.125
