  1. These two got it... I still think the rule is screwy, but it's the rule.
  2. I'm gonna say the rules say that's incorrect. But after having a gun pointed at me last weekend on the second string of 18-08 while I was loading mags and not RO'ing, (also screaming "STOP!!!" from the peanut gallery) I'd say common sense prevails.
  3. Nope. Not a fan of a sight getting broken, covered in lint, wet, etc.
  4. That's right, I don't shoot IDPA because I'm scared of it. I want my PCC and my safe place. I think were saying the same thing in a different manner. People like to shoot what they think is fun. You say it's because blasting is fun. It is fun. But it is much harder to blast with a SS gun than a CO gun, which makes it less fun.
  5. So why don't more people shoot it, then? All the low cap divisions are falling off, and CO is growing like crazy. And I don't shoot IDPA...
  6. I emailed my area director a couple months ago saying the same thing. His response was basically, "We've talked about this before and it never gained any traction. I don't see anything changing."
  7. Go shoot a match with a SS major gun AND the high cap gun of your choosing. Tell me which one has the more straight forward stage planning and faster times. I'm going to bet it is NOT SS.
  8. Yeah but I shoot major. If I shot minor it would be much simpler to change myself to production.
  9. It is harder to shoot (especially Major pf, due to reduced capacity) than any of the high cap divisions. People don't like Reloading that much, or having a stage plan bombed because of a miss on steel. I wish more folks shot it around here. I just look at the overalls, and make a match on PS with me and the production shooters.
  10. I bought one awhile back. I've used it at a couple matches, and so it has worked great. It loads just fine for me, but I don't have little girl hands.

    Edge Glock Trigger Kit

Felt about like a "-" connector to me
  12. You mean the guy that went Open at SS Nats for an overweight gun?? OP, if the safety functions, you're fine. I would get it corrected asap if you're used to having the right side safety though.
  13. TTI spring and connector kit, and an over travel stop is what I had in mine. I liked it a lot. That being said, if you want a new gun, get a new gun. I did the same thing awhile back and sold my g17 to buy a sp01. I liked the cz, but I really appreciated the simplicity of the glock.
  14. At the local level? Rimfire Action Match National level? US Rimfire Shooting Association or something along those lines.
  15. Uspsa. I've shot some outlaw steel matches with a 22. There's a place for it--but that place isn't uspsa.
  16. I'm all for changing the current system. 1. RM calibrates every popper with 115-120 PF ammo before the match starts. 2. If there is a FULL DIAMETER hit within the scoring ring and a popper fails to fall during a COF, the shooter goes directly to chrono. 2.1 if shooter fails fo make minor PF, give shooter the "no score" in PS. If shooter makes Minor, call REF, adjust steel as necessary, and reshoot. I think this whole deal has been blown waaaaaaaaay out of proportion. Some days when you're dealing with 30mph winds and steel, nothing is going to be perfect. Do what you can, try to be fair, and have fun.
  17. It's a magwell and will be treated as such in uspsa, just like the once that comes on the sig.
  18. I've been powder coating/hitek'ing my bullets for 3-4 years now. I won't be going back to lube. As far as data goes, I use lead guidance. If that's not around, I go off FMJ data. Usually a starting FMJ charge will put you right at PF.
  19. They're more fun. And that's what this is all about, right?
  20. I commented on a Facebook post by USPSA to ask why Troy went to Open. The reply was, “43.4oz isn’t 43oz.”

    XD/XDM

I always read on the Internet how the XD series of pistols is unreliable. However, I have had nothing but reliability from several XD’s, and the ones I see at matches tend to run well. So what is everyone’s experience with them??
  22. That’s pretty cool. I haven’t ever heard of that!! I really don’t have a use for a shooting jersey. I kinda like being the redneck that shows up in jeans and a cowboy hat and shoots good. Or at least sometimes shoots good
