  1. Sounds hot to me. In my KKM g17 barrel: 130 grain coated Lead bullet 6.4 grains WAC CCI SPM primer 1.150" OAL 1315 FPS, 170PF
  2. I'm afraid you're gonna cost me some money. I've tried a bunch of different glock triggers and kinda settled in the TTI kit for cost vs performance. I'm really wanting g to try one of the timney triggers!!
  3. Legal in limited. not legal in production/CO And yeah, your informant needs better information.

    Titewad

I came across a couple containers of titewad. Hodgdon shows a max charge with a 230 grain lead bullet to be 3.3 grains with a velocity of 767fps. I have been getting velocities from 710 to 760 with my 235 grain lee tumble lube RN bullets at 1.210" OAL and a charge of 3.3 grains. Has anyone loaded much .45 with titewad, and if so, did you see large swings in velocity?
  5. We are on page 4 of "how many ways should we penalize this guy" I'm going to say there MAY be a better system.
  6. Did you read the post by Gary that I was replying to?
  7. Did you even read what I quoted?
  8. I've got a better idea. Screwing up the stage procedure earns a DNF for the stage. A shooter can't understand one round per target, reload, and one round per target? Congratulations, here's a 0.
  9. We settled on 3 procedurals. Two for stacking and one for the misplaced reload. (Plus we were still trying to figure WTH we just witnessed.) After thinking about it, I THINK it should have been 2 for stacking, 3 for the failed "reload".
  10. Shooter engages T1 with two shots, T2 with two shots, and T3 with one shot. Shooter then makes a reload, and engages T5 with one shot, T4 with one shot, and T3 with one shot. Shooter then removes the magazine and reinserts it, and engages T4 with one shot and T5 with one shot. How many penalties should have been assessed?
  11. Old xd and xd mod2 use the same mags.
  12. I'm classified in 8 divisions (and have the stupid online badge to show it) I'm not that great at any of them but these are my thoughts: Its pretty easy to swap between SS, L10, and limited, assuming you're shooting a 1911/2011 in the latter two. Stage planning is really the only difference. If you're used to irons, moving to production isn't too hard. Different grip angles and trigger pulls are there to contend with, but sights are sights. Dots change things a lot. I think the dot has a lot to offer in learning to discipline yourself shooting; it helped me improve on shot calling a LOT when I was shooting CO with a glock. I would not hesitate to try a new division, especially if you're having fun with it. Learn what you can about that division and skills you can apply elsewhere.
  13. This may be the world's cheapest open gun. Found a smoking deal on the slide, barrel, comp, sight and mount, and 170mm mag. Bought a p80 frame, tti trigger kit, and a magwell off of ebay. Grand total: $600
  14. I know the 9s and 40s are NOT interchangeable. The one Midway has listed for .45 says "XD, XDM"
  15. Come on, you know we can't leave alone at "yes" or "no"
  16. I'm gonna unload at about the same pace I would at a static firing line. I'll make sure I see an empty chamber, drop the hammer, and put the gun in the holster deliberately. If I have a mag out of the gun before I realize I didnt engage a target, the time spent getting the gun ready again will outweigh the penalties.
  17. Sometimes the club would print off the overall. Once it got sen to USPSA it was broken down by division.
