I was using Federal Training 147 which has that same profile and did the same thing.  The Rival hates flat point anything. I initially got them to run better by clipping a spring on the extractor, but then I ran into FTE.  Basically with that ammo now, I run stock or higher extractor spring, 5.5 Glock striker and 18 pound recoil to just slam it home.  How many rounds do you have through yours? I also noticed that federal ammo specifically acts up way way less even when I’ve had everything back to stock now that I’ve got 3,000 or so rounds through it.

I have around 2500ish through it. What was weird was it ran perfectly the first 1000. I will try some more round nose again and see what happens. Plus I haven't tried them with the MBX mag. It definitely fits a lot tighter then my others. Thanks again!

  2. Thanks for sharing all this great info.

I'm having this issue. Tried different mag components. (Gram & mbx followers, henning +4 base pads, mecgar tubes, gram springs, even bought one of the new mbx mags 23/24 rd mag), different bullet profile, different OAL. Running 15lb commander with w74 guide rod but it's nose dived enough and really stuck in there. I don't think it would matter how heavy of recoil spring you had. Usually happens on a fuller mag but doesn't have to be completely full, even happens on half full sometimes Any ideas? Pulling my hair. It's to the point where i can't shoot it at a match anymore. 20230823_193632.thumb.jpg.1f47ee7479a554e9bdc7dc37632405cf.jpg

  3. Here is how I got mine. Not as hard as it looks. It took a few minutes to set it up but do you want one or not 😀. I found one in 3 days. Results may vary 🙂.

    1. Go to this LINK  for stainless or this LINK for dark side
    2. Click on "Notify Me" under the pic and signup for notification via email.
    3. MAKE SURE TO DO THIS ALSO: There will be a bunch of different direct links as you scroll down to all the vendor's websites that carry them. Click on each one and signup for the notification via email on all of them. Note: not all links will give you the ability to sign up for notifications
    4. MOST IMPORTANT STEP: set up a forwarding rule in your email to forward all emails containing the word "Canik" to your cell phone as a text so that you get notified immediately. Note: you will get false positives but you can easily filter through those.
      • Setting this up will vary on your email client and your cell phone provider
      • You will need to figure out what the email address is for your cell phone to have emails forwarded to it. Here are the popular ones or you can go HERE for other cell phone providers
        • Verizon - 555-555-5555@vtext.com
        • T-Mobile - 555-555-5555@tmomail.net
        • AT&T - 555-555-5555@txt.att.net
      • Instructions for setting up email forwarding on Gmail can be found HERE and Outlook is HERE otherwise you will have to Google it. When creating the rule have it forwarded to the email above and it will come across as a text.
    5. You will have to jump on the deal as it will be gone quickly.
    6. If you have issues with the instructions reply back or PM
    7. Hope this helps and good luck!

I checked my DS Steel takeup and reset.  Mine is 5.5mm and 4mm.  My TP9 SFX with a FS Zombie Pro trigger is 4.5mm and 2mm.  I sent an email in to FS about which trigger will net the same result in the DS Steel as the SFX.  Looking forward to your results!

I just got the Sport model and it fit perfectly. I only have the Rival-S but will measure it tomorrow and see how it compares to yours. Please let me know what FS says if you don't mind. Would love to have the takeup and reset like your SFX.

Can you take a pic of the spots you focused on?  Was it a Smoky Mountain holster or other brand?

I don't have a holster yet but am needing to buy one. I wanted to see if there were any that fit without modification

  6. Back when I had one of his guns the only way I could communicate with him was his personal facebook page https://www.facebook.com/shay.akai.

FYI - I had HORRIBLE experience with him and his gun. He was a jerk most of the time, communication was very iffy, sometimes I would get a response in 15 minutes but most of the time it was days or weeks.  I ended up having another gunsmith fix his gun. I would highly recommend not going with him.  I ended up going with Venom and it has been a great experience. Don even gave me his cell phone if I ran into problems at a match.

  7. I shoot 9 major it is not a must but.....

I did not roll size for 3-4 years but I did have failures in the hundo. One I started have them roll sized I have not had a failed since. Plus they run smoother through the press. I would guess 15k with no failures. I have so much confidence in it that the only reason I use the hundo is to check primers.

  8. I highly recommed Venom Customs. I did a lot of research before I purchased since I have had extremely bad support from the last two I purchased. I talked with multiple poeple before hand and heard nothing but good things. Don the builder from Venom gave me his cell phone and I can call/text anytime with issues or questions. He repsonds very quickly and is super helpful and friendly. I have had zero issues with the gun. I am not sure what his build time is currenlty but he is a phone call away.

How do I reset the elevation and windage to its factory settings on the deltapoint pro?

The windage has stop limits on both ends so you could just count the number of clicks from one stop to the other and then divide by 2. Not sure what to tell you on the elevation though.

  10. My CK had the same issue and it was a known defect. Bobby fixed it for me with no issues. I heard Bobby will support the CK guns and that you can message him on Facebook. Here is another thread talking about it

  11. I am not for sure if this will help any or not but thought I would share since you did 😊.  I actually have the exact opposite problem. I overall have a very outgoing personality and do not experience much anxiety in normal, everyday life BUT when I shoot a stage I struggle with anxiety before I shoot.  After the first couple of stages, it tends to get better, but I still experience it.  Last year I noticed I was overly concerned about my performance and was not having as much fun as I did in the beginning, so I decided to make having more fun my goal for the year.  Over the course of the year, I focused on trying to have fun and not care as much on how I placed through varies methods.  I am still not quite where I want to be, but I am doing much better at this.  One thing I have noticed is I do not experience as much anxiety now as I used to before I shoot a stage.  I think that is because I am not as focused on my performance OR what people think of me or how I shoot.  This silly thing is no one really cares how I perform except me but for some reason I subconsciously think that.   I say all that to say I wonder if it’s possible that some of the anxiety your experience in normal life is due to you being to focused on your performance or caring too much about what other people think about you.  I may be way off but just food for thought.  Once again, thanks for your honesty!
