  1. Lynx Belt with GX Ratchet

Preferred holster maker doesn't make TS2, so RHT or GX.  GX better, but be prepared to wait.

I don't have a TS2, but shoot firearms that are about as heavy, and the DAA Lynx really helps support and distribute the weight.  The problem I ran into was that I got mine at a time that my weight was going down and then going into winter where I'd wear a thicker shirt that needed to be tucked in...long and short, the buckle system kind of sucks in accommodating changing weight or shirt thicknesses, hence adding the ratchet.

  2. I load 135gr blues @ 1.135 OAL and they have worked very well for me.  Originally I did the .355 and had no major complaints, but tried the .356 one time around and noticed that my accuracy had seemed to improve.  By default(because I have been ordering the same ones for years), I wasn't thinking and went back to the .355's...and noticed the associated accuracy loss.

    TLDR - I'd go with the .356's.

  3. Has anyone had their P01 cut for the Holosun K footprint by chance?  If so, were you happy with the work, and who did it?  Normally I'd go with Primary Machine, but they don't do the EPS at this time.  Have a P01 Omega on the way and just recently won an EPS GR6...think they might make a nice pair :)

Guess it's time to start trying to ping him so he can ignore my messages like he did last time around.

Full disclosure, he did respond to my text really fast this time around with an update.  I still believe the inaccuracy of the lead time is insane, but I was pretty negative on this post based on never getting a response last time around.  I want to be as honest about when a business does something right as when they do something wrong.

Mine is on its way, it took 19 weeks.  I hope it is all that everyone has said about it.  Mostly I want it to fit my Sig P320 AXG Pro without me having to modify it.

My first one was when I was shooting an X5, then I switched to the AXG grip on it a while after receiving the holster.  For a few draws it scraped some material out here and there, but after some break-in has worked fine.

Been a minute since I ordered mine.

You ordered about a month ahead of me; That's insane.  If you want to be more annoyed, I just found out that a friend who ordered his 4 days and 55 orders behind mine already shipped.  Guess it's nothing resembling first come first serve...not sure if he just throws darts at a board or what.  I'd be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt and say that some color combos may not be on hand at certain times, but I ordered all black, so I kind of doubt he doesn't have that on hand lol...

Guess it's time to start trying to ping him so he can ignore my messages like he did last time around.

I will never understand how anyone is willing to wait 22+ weeks for a simple kydex holster. And futher more think it's totally acceptable to have to text/email/dm/insta/Facebook the guy to even get some response. His locking holster isn't even special. It's a cam lock with a magnet.

I don't think most people find that acceptable.  I think they thought the 12 weeks or so was acceptable as long as they knew ahead of time when they ordered.  Seems to me that the lead time posted on the website is pretty much an entirely fabricated number to keep people ordering. I suspect that most people would add their own(you can order the cam locks from places like Grainger) or look at other options if they were told up front that it was going to be 26+ weeks...

  8. I used it for a couple matches, had a few complaints and went back to my old belt, then went back to the Lynx after just one match because those few complaints were fairly minor compared to what it is good at.  DAA added a half link extension that addressed the biggest complaint I had at the time, and the others were pretty minor when I considered how much better it supports/distributes weight.

  9. I've been using them for 5 years or so.  My reason for choosing them over other options is that it's pretty much a Goldilocks projectile.  The profile has fed well in all of my firearms, accuracy seems above average compared to other coated options, and it's a compromise between 124 and 147 - lower muzzle flip than lighter bullets without that slow-motion slide feeling you can get with heavier bullets.  Have used them with Titegroup, Prima V, Sport Pistol and N320, no issues.

Syntech 150 required cleaning gas port often if want to run reliably.

I have a question in this similar vain, what is best method for cleaning comp. that thing is starting to get a lot of build up.

Soak and scrape has been my method.  I've seen some videos on YouTube suggesting that an ultrasonic works well if you have one.

  11. For the MPX, it seems to depend a lot on the ammo you shoot.  FMJ's with a relatively clean powder and you should be good for at least 1-1.5K before needing that.  They don't recommend coated bullets, but I've gone over 1K with Blue Bullets and had no issues, but would still do it at 1K to be safe.  Used another brand of coated bullets a year or so ago and they gummed up the works and caused constant malfunctions within 100 rounds.

  12. Shot my first match with it yesterday.  I can confirm that, without the pads at least, it digs into my hip slightly.  I'll probably try the pads, but honestly it's nowhere near as bad as the BOSS holster was so I'm not too concerned about it.

Other than that, not much too add.  It did it's job and I have no real complaints.

  13. Mine showed up yesterday and I got it set up, just wanted to post a follow-up.  It's definitely the most compact hanger I've seen, but still feels very sturdy.  I was able to mount it at 3 o'clock while maintaining the slightly forward position of the holster that I prefer and it seems that it will alleviate the issue I had with the BOSS pressing on my thigh all day.

The adjustability is nice and everything seems to lock down tight.  I initially set it up pretty neutral with the muzzle canted forward just a hair like I had it on the boss.  After that I decided to play with the other two adjustments(camber and toe I think the website called them) just to see if it felt beneficial at all.  I ended up with the grip turned just slightly inwards on both adjustments.  Won't pretend it's absolutely necessary, but I'd say that my draw feels more natural now like my arms/hands are moving how they want to move rather than adjusting to something else.

Haven't gotten it out to a match yet, but overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase(as one should be for a hanger this expensive lol...).

Total cost I think would technically be more to stick with the CZ. Milling at CGW is $160/$415, not including shipping, etc. From browsing the classifieds I feel like I could probably get ~$1,000 for it? X-5s are running $900-1000 locally, so I'm already saving nearly $200 to put towards an optic.

I also feel like Sig is a more future-proof platform, with its FCU design, and I think a better optic mounting solution vs direct milling. I've also heard people are moving away from full 5" guns to 4-4.5" slides in CO due to the better balance. Shadow 2 is incredibly front-heavy.

I know it really doesn't matter and the answer is just to get good, so I may end up changing my mind. I also asked The HumbleMarksman and he gave the same advice. Highest-ranked shooter whose brain I've been able to pick about it. I appreciate y'alls thoughts.

I hear you.  I don't think there are any bad choices on the table, was just more perplexed about switching platforms when you already have and are familiar with one.  Seemed like it might make more sense to sell the G19.4 and use the money to mill and get an optic for the Shadow 2.

I do value TheHumbleMarksman's opinion and he has some good videos on exactly what we are discussing, which I'm sure you are already aware of.  I think in his AXG Pro video he actually said he'd choose that over a Legion due to the shorter slide/better balance.  One thing I will say; We're all lucky to have so many solid choices!

  15. I was on the fence until watching the GX Vice video on it, then went ahead and ordered one.

The adjustability speaks for itself, and seemed nice but wasn't absolutely essential enough to make me jump.  What got me was that it fits on a single Lynx panel and because of the way the holster is moved forward of the mount.  I like my BOSS and it has enough adjustability for me, but it does make my thigh a bit sore from digging in forward of 3 o'clock.  This should mount around 3 o'clock while still holding the holster where I want it, which should spare my thigh.  Since it's there though, I'll take the extra adjustment as an added bonus.  My draw seemed a bit faster/more consistent on my PDR Pro II rig where I could tilt the grip in towards me a bit.  That hanger doesn't play too nice with the Lynx in my experience though or I'd just use it.

Would these accuracy issues prevent y'all from recommending the X-5 Legion as a production/CO gun for a newbie? I've got a CZ Shadow 2 and G19.4 I was looking at trading in/selling and get seriously into CO/production and was looking for the best value/future-proof platform. I was debating between Canik Rival and the X5 Legion, with the X5 being the favorite but this thread is news to me.

Plenty of people do well with the P320's, so I wouldn't say that it's going to hold anyone back, especially if you are fairly new.    That said, I have a Shadow 2 that I'll be transitioning to in the near future and find myself wondering why you aren't considering just getting that milled for CO instead of selling it and changing platforms.  I could be wrong, but a think a lot of people would agree that between the two it's the higher quality option...and you already have it.

  17. I have a couple of these on my Holosuns.  They're OK.  They don't snap on or anything, but are just kind of a thin rubber material that is super light and grips well enough that it probably isn't just going to fall off.  I ended up getting a Range Panda cover for my Romeo3Max and like it better.  Tougher material, feels more secure, and is only a dollar or two more.  I just got a SRO recently and went the Range Panda route again because it's the best I've seen so far.

  18. I use one from Weber Tactical and the quality is excellent.  You can't really see it in the pictures and I don't think the description mentions it, but it has a spring-loaded retention device that is adjustable instead of using side pressure regulated by a screw like many pouches.  Makes for a super smooth draw and it's not going anywhere.  This would be my recommendation.

  19. I have a Stretch 16 and really like it, but IMHO, is a bit more expensive than what is really needed.  If I were building one now, I'd probably choose between a Criterion CORE 16" or Criterion Hybrid Rifle Length 16" for the length you want.  Would lean towards the CORE, but availability with those is still an issue.

  20. I have the PCC model and also an AR-9 PCC and see pros and cons to each option.  The MPX seems to shoot softer and reloads easier for me and these differences show up on the scoreboard.  That said, while it is generally reliable, that seems to come at the cost of higher maintenance.  The gas plug on it will get dirty as you shoot it and eventually lead to malfunctions.  Usually this is well over 1K rounds for me, but during the panic, I ended up with a different brand of coated bullets than the Blue Bullets I usually use.  Long and short, they were leading up my barrels something fierce and managed to gunk that gas chamber up enough to cause malfunctions within 100 rounds, which hosed me at a big annual steel match.  General recommendations seem to be even against the coated bullets in these, but the Blues don't seem to gunk up the works too fast.  Still, in the interest of reliability, best practice would likely be to use a TMJ or HP projectile with no lead exposed and a clean burning powder.

My AR-9 PCC works well enough.  Not quite as soft, but not bad, and reloads with Glock pattern mags don't seem as natural to me.  The main benefit is that it runs and runs with almost no maintenance.  When I was at the Lucas Oil PCC match a few years back, my wife and I both used it with one quick field clean halfway through the stages.  Despite the hard use and heavy rain, there was not a single malfunction for the entire match.  Needless to say, there were a good amount of PCC's going down at that match.
