Been working with Don on a custom build. I think it turned out great and can’t wait to get to the range!!! Cheely xwf frame and hybrid/island barrel should lead to a smooth, flat shooting range gun.

Currently in the process of having a 2011 built. The gun will have a 5” barrel, Cheely xw frame, rall front sight, and a Sro. Who makes, or can make this holster?

Just put a deposit down on a Venom Custom 2011 9mm hybrid/island barrel gun. I’m trying to decide between the standard or the extra wide frame. What is the general consensus? Pros or cons of each? Thanks!

In my search for a Doublestack 9mm I’ve run across venom custom guns. I spoke with Don, the owner, and he seemed extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. My question is how do his guns stack up against other firearms like atlas or Nighthawk for range and play use?

Looking at Akai 2011 and I’ve run across a couple barrel options. First is the standard bull barrel, next is the hybrid/island and finally the oversized tungsten sleeved barrel. I grasp the concept of the bull and the hybrid/island but what is the benefit of the tungsten sleeved barrel? Weight?

Getting ready to purchase, or order, a new Doublestack 9mm that will be range use only. I’m interested in the Guncrafter Hellcat x2, Atlas Athena, and Nighthawk TRS comp. The guncrafter has a 7 month wait, atlas is pretty quick, and nighthawk is 22-24 months. I like the features, and camo patterns on the Guncrafter, but I’ve never held one. Am I giving up anything with the GC over the Atlas or NH?

I have a Springfield TRP full rail that I would like to have cut for a rmr. I would also like the trigger cleaned up a little and maybe just have the entire gun smoothed out a little. What smith do you recommend for this type of work?

Just picked up a new 2011 Atlas titan and I’m looking for a holster. What have you guys found that fits a 2011 with full dust cover?

I don’t currently reload, where are you guys finding the most consistent (best quality) 9mm Ammo? Ammo will be used for targets and steel.

I’ve decided to go with the Titan Se. I’m have no doubt whatever builder I chose would be great, but I love the butler cut on the se.

For those that have run your pistols hard for a few years, are you finding that one is holding up better than another? I’m looking at a few custom builds a they both run different finishes.

I’ve been toying with the idea of picking up a quality 2011 style pistol. I’ve found a cheely built pistol as well as a brazos high performance modified edge. Is one better than the other at this point, or am i spitting hairs? This is a purely range/plinking pistol. I’m also looking at an atlas titan, don’t know much about either of the guns.
