  1. I think grandma's dirty shoe got him before the cigarettes.
  2. My M&P will run trudicated cones, no problems at all. I cast these myself. My Colt 1911 gets hiccup's with them, and prefers round nose. Both bullets are 230gr.
  3. With all the problems facing gun owners in this day and age, you would think we could have more information on gun laws and how the left is trying to remove the 2nd Amendment.
  4. This might not help you now, but my wet dream bowling pin load is: 230 gr. Hp or Fmj over 6.5 gr. Unique. My 1971 colt 5" loves them.
  5. COL will really depend on your pistol and chamber. You want at least a .01 jump from chamber to lans. Less than that my cause over pressure. The problem with making the perfect round for your pistol, is that they will not work in every pistol.
  6. For now, I'm just sticking with my known safe load of mixed 5.56 brass, 55 gr. Hornady and 25 gr. 748. I'm happy till I get a chrono.
  7. What brass are you using? My notes, I was using .223 with the 25gr 748. Weread you using 5.56 brass?
  8. I don't have a crono, but I do have Hornady 55 fmj and winchester srp's. I was going 25 grs of 748, I will kick it up!
  9. I am a 550 fan! I reload at least 11 different calibers. All I can say is buy more toolheads!!! For me the worst part is to change the primer size. Even the EBAY toolheads work fine.
  10. Question: I have an XD40. To make it a XD9 do I just change the upper slide, barrel and spring? Or if your interested in an XD40 lmk.
  11. I love casting my bullets, I also got into powder coating and that makes clean up after the range ez.
  12. Easiest thing to do is when loading primers, when primer tube is in position, touch the metal primer tube and a metal part on your press. The static charge will be equlized. If your press is near the earth, run a wire to a ground rod.
  13. I want a load that will work in pistol and rifle.
  14. Since I already have the Single Action Army in .357, I think it would be nice to get a matching Rifle. Dream Gun would be Winchester 1873, 24" Straight grip, round barrel. What would be the better way to go with ammo? Heavy 158gr or light 125gr?
  15. Lyman has a cast bullet load book out. I find it very useful, since I started casting my own bullets.
  16. I haven't tried 158''s yet, but 125 plated with unique shoots great.
