  1. Yea! If I could get one I would. Just let me dream...
  2. One more point, posts are here for information no matter the age of the post, that is why this one is still going. I read the forum for information and facts not for bickering. And I post to get my 200 so I can get rid of the brass I dont need.
  3. I started in the early 1980's and after traveling the world thanx to your tax dollars and then working for a living kinda got put to the side. Now that I'm and not really hitting the parties anymore, I figured it would be good to start up again for my last hobbie. Not to mention my wife (#2) enjoys shooting too and we go thru lots of ammo.
  4. The point as stated someone some where will find the perfect lee loader and some one will find a dillion that will not work better than their lee. I bought a similar story to make the point easier to see, although some people can't catch on no matter how simple you make it
  5. The point of the thread is that some brass cases can be resized to a different round of ammo, not to be confused with putting the wrong ammo in the wrong weapon. Never ever use ammo that is not designed for the weapon.
  6. There is the answer I was looking for. I don't have any 380 to compare with. I know in europe they call it a 9x17.
  7. The LT. That follows the book gets a posthumous medal, an LT that listens to his sgt gets home.
  8. I think this topic went way off target. Just my 2 cents here. If there is a product out there that is selling then at least a few of them work like they should. I own a ruger P85, many people put them down but I bought mine to carry in desert storm and I love it.
  9. Question: in CO. They have a weight restriction on hand guns?
  10. I have done reenactments since 1999. I have noticed the ammo, for WWII, is not always from that weapon or caliber. Most are brass form calibers that are longer so when cripped for a blank are as long as a standard round with lead. I know they use 270 to make 8mm not sure if you can use other brass modified to shoot thru other weapons as live ammo. Can you cut down resize a 9mm to use as a 380?
  11. Club By-Laws; 1) Must own a 1911 Single Stack of original JMB Design, NO light railed guns I have a 1971 S70 2) Must have proof of having competed in a Single Stack Division Match or a IDPA CDP Match dating back to January 1, 2007 inclusive Does the use of a 1911A1 count, such as grenada, panama, sorry had to switch to my P85 for desert storm, but that was designed off the 1911. 3) Previous use of ANY Polymer framed gun has to have been limited to Production Division I do own an S&W shield and M&P 9 4) Any archived post attributed to you will that was/is deemed to be derogatory to the Single Stack Division is grounds for a lifetime ban. I just got to the forums not to long ago, so I should be safe there. 5) Photo of both sides of your 1911 Single Stack must accompany membership application. Sorry, I tried but pic was too big. 6) Proof of a USPSA Life-Membership number consisting of ONLY three digits will over-ride lack of two photos and proof of match participation Nota This message was approved by rustybayonet
  12. Just an fyi, across the big pond they run on 220vac not 110vac
  13. I have seen this somewhere on FC, but now I found brain's forum who needs FC. "My wife changed her facebook status to widowed should I be worried?"
  14. The votes are in and in military terms I would say "ALL THE WAY, SIR" so now for the shopping list. I do have my Rock Chucker from the 1980's which started my going back to reloading. Brian said that would probably be good for small amounts of rifle. I have all my little extras, so that will get me started. The Lyman 49th is on it's way. The spot in the basement is claimed and the bench is almost done. Here's the start of my list. Feel free to add to it, I want to load 9mm and .45 ACP to start. XL650 Case feeder 9mm die set .45 ACP die set As it should be set case feeder plate Quik change set Primer slide? Powder check ? Spare parts kit Spare primer tubes 4lg 4sm
  15. Settle down TOP, your acting like a REMF. How do you find that info with out reading every post? The heading really did not denote the subject.
  16. One more for the road. Reading some post it popped in to my head about the height of the 650 with a feeder. What I want to get is the 650, 650 only mount and feeder. I can't find any info about the overall height of that setup. PLZ HELP
  17. I have played with a lot of old Military ammo over the years and have yet to have a round go off in the tumbler. If it does it is more of a brass fire cracker and will not launch like a bullet from a chamber. To be on the safe side I alway tumble the anchient ammo in the garage.
  18. Thanks! I was headed in that direction and now I know it's the way to go. Money is tight for me so I better go to the roof, or at least the gutters.
  19. This will be my first Progressive press. Brian suggests a 550 for starters, But I do have complacated machine experince. I think I would like a 650. My wife and I shoot over 1000 9mm a month. I also shoot and would like to reload 45acp. is it hard to switch calibers in a 650, case feeder, primers and all?
  20. Hello to all. I haven't reloaded since the 1980's Back then I wanted a Dillon press but couldn't afford it, but now it is time to start reloading again and this time I am going to get a Dillon. As for myself I have always enjoyed Firearms and the shooting sports. I spent 12 years as an 11H, 11B and an Infantry Instructor, Desert Storm was my last conflict. I am a collector and historian of Militaria and also do Reenactments. PS thats me, it's a live MP44, to bad it's not mine. One of my Halloween get ups.
