  1. My wet dream bowling pin load with my "71 colt 1911 is: 230 rn over 6.5gr. Unique Take that for what it's worth.
  2. The only powder I have used out of that group is the AA#5 and I don't think that would give you the results you want. For my cowboy loads, I use red dot or even better unique for the real feel.
  3. I was taught, a long time ago: Unless your doing precision reloading, never use finished round weights for any calculations.
  4. Check PVC pipe adapters at the hardware store, see what sizes they have.
  5. Coated, plated or plain lead use a .356 If you use harder bullets jacketed or lead free go .355
  6. Did you read the magazine? It tells you. Package 9 is everything you see. A complete 9mm 650 Package 556 is same but for the 556 Combo is 650 ready to go for 9mm and 556
  7. I have noticed all the Lee seating dies will crimp. Since your using a rockchucker, pull your seating stem out and see if it will work for you.
  8. I have one of those little grey multi drawer cabinets, in one of the drawers I put a piece of foam in and popped holes in to fit 3 of each pins.
  9. I made an easy version years ago and it still works great. I drilled two holes in my bench, put Machine screw adapters in them. Then used wood boards cut to fit, so they can be screwed down to the bench. One board has my lyman trimmer and another board has my lee shot shell loader.
  10. Toaster oven? I bought a nice one under $20, I use for my powder coating.?
  11. I bought my 550, the summer of 2014. I got it with the Brian Enos "as it should be" kit and setup for .45acp and 9mm. So I have been loading 9mm on it since day one, so I have at least 30k on the sizing die and finally bend my depriming pin, It must be the spring loaded design that saves the pins. Although I have gone thru 3 E clips. ?
  12. Just like your clothes. I have a box next to the dryer to put the used ones in. I use them for all my reloading wiping!!!
  13. I dry tumble my brass. I have never needed to lube straight walled cases. Any taper case, pistol or rifle, I always lube.
  14. I am a 550 fanboy, so I would say, in the long run a 550 would be the way to go... If your old enough to know you'll never need more, sdb is fine. If your young and have a long shooting life ahead of you, a 550 would be the way to go.
  15. Mr. DILLON explained it to me that is like a manual transmission compared to an automatic. I can get 500 an hour easy, but I only have 5 primer tubes.
  16. Simple question, simple answer. Do you ever think you might load more than one caliber? Can you afford both? If you answer yes to both then have both.
  17. I have tons of 9x19 and 9x18 is pricey when you can find it. I actually got the idea from a post here about someone bitching about finding these Converted cases messing their whole reloading process up. I thought, heck lets give it a shot. I don't have the money to load them, but I do have the time. And they worked out great!!!
  18. With a 550 you shouldn't get that big of variation. What bullets are you using?
