  1. This is the best shooting forum. There are better gossip forums however.
  2. Mobil 1 oil and grease and a bit of Tufoil and there is no gun lube question that cannot be answered. Royal Purple works as well.
  3. List of registered shooters has always appeared on the website along with the squad to which they were assigned, sometime prior to the match.
  4. Your draw will be limited because your arms are too puny.
  5. My ASR went crazy on me today. Last stage of 160 rounds or so and halfway through the stage the dot went out, suddenly. Two shots later (don't ask) dot came back on as bright as ever. Another few shots and it disappeared again. Repeat above a couple of times. Changed the battery yesterday. Battery might have been a few years old. Duracell. Supposedly. Did this at the end of a 400 round practice a couple of weeks ago. Changed battery and OK through two local matches and another practice session and nine of ten stages at the FO. Anyone had this experience and, if so, what was the diagnosis? I will be calling C-More tomorrow of course but a little info from the cognoscenti would be useful to me. Thanks
  6. The match that Max Michel shot has to be the best performance of his life.
  7. Evidently Strader and the USPSA staff are not on the same page.
  8. Hard for those without 10 round mags to travel and shoot legally into California. And those with illegal pistols.
  9. Well, start a SC match in Piru. Sanctioning fees are not much.
  10. That quarter million isn't looking like such a good deal now
  11. you probably don't charge a $300 match fee for one gun
  12. Sixty some in Open and Open Revolver combined - the ones really competing in the Main Match. I guess the old "charge the masses an outrageous match fee to create a cash prize pool for the big boys" isn't working so good any more. Steel Challenge is dying. Maybe already dead.
  13. Sixty shooters at the Steel Challenge??
  14. Has nothing to do with the matches or gun laws. Yes, I have shot and RO'd Nationals. Huh, that's weird. I clicked on your shooter number link and your classifiers don't show any participation at any USPSA Nationals. So what year(s) did you shoot Nats? The reason I bring it up is not necessarily to single you out. There just seem to be a lot of people on the internet recently who are quick to complain about a particular shooting venue for a major match, but then it turns out they wouldn't shoot the match regardless of where it happened to be held! Perhaps you could illuminate us all on what qualifications are necessary to post on subjects in which you participate and what proof is necessary to back those qualifications.
  15. What's wrong with IL? They run great matches at PASA Park--it's one of the premier practical shooting spots in the whole country! They might run great matches, but it is in one of those states I avoid like the plague. I don't organize boycotts or that kind of thing, just choose not to patronize that state if I can at all avoid it. I am sure my life will be full enough having missed PASA. Easy enough to stay in Missouri and not spend a nickle in Illinois.
  16. I predict that the Revolver Championship will not sell out. Hopefully, SS award ceremony will be Friday.
  17. Seniors and Super Seniors contributed $16,000 in match fees to the recent IPSC Nationals. Juniors and Ladies contributed $11,200 - that number assumes that no Junior or Ladies match fees were paid by parents or husbands.
  18. At Stage 24 you would have to take a zeroed stage.
  19. A good man gone too soon.
  20. Looks to me as if Grauffel won Production pretty handily - more than five percent.
