  1. USPSA is not for everyone and not for every club. Opening the door to compromise because of "legitimate" liability concerns will only ensure that those compromises will quickly become embedded in our core structure. Better fighting every encroachment and losing the occasional battle then surrendering our sport. Those willing to surrender are certainly free to form their own game. But don't count on the USPSA infrastructure to assist you.
  2. The new BOD is being elected in the same meeting as the by law vote. USPSA's future at this club depends as much on the election as the by laws vote.
  3. Shot leaving the range are controlled by a shot size rule and range configuration. Rifles have a waiver with certain required protocols. Any club member who violates a club rule will get thrown out. Any visitor, will be banned. If the new by laws pass, USPSA matches will need a waiver. I doubt it will be granted and certainly not if folks persist in the belief that USPSA match rules can be subordinated to club rules.
  4. I can agree with that change next year.
  5. There is no separate USPSA club at the range in question. The "club" and the range are the same entity. The BOD is proposing eliminating the by law that recognizes precedence of sanctioned match rules over club rules. If the by law is changed and the BOD does not grant a waiver for the club "muzzle over berm rule" to the USPSA matches, then USPSA matches can no longer be held by that club.
  6. Dawson sight has notable black above the dot . Dot is clearly defined because fiber "blob" is recessed into the post. Very useful for precision shots. Great sight.
  7. Shot mine in a local yesterday. Dawson fiber front sight. Awesome pistol.
  8. The chances of an ELECTED individual being or becoming an outstanding business leader are minuscule. The selected position of Executive Director is where USPSA must look for business leadership. The President is our public face, our representative to IPSC, and the person responsible for national competitions. That's enough and appropriate for someone who achieved their position through a political process. It is not full time and does not require a high salary to attract suitable people.
  9. Lots of guns given as prizes in all divisions and classes and categories
  10. It would be nice for the membership to be informed what benefits/perks are authorized for the position.
  11. Any advantage in mounting a 650 on Strong Mount through a steel plate between the SM and the one and a half inch thick bench?
  12. In summary, it's a great day in America.

  14. Apparently, I am the only shooter who rocks to the cadence of "Tiptoe through the Tulips."
  15. Hard to see how big IPSC or USPSA could approve any of these under the 2000 rule. Somehow, Pinto will find a way - for Eric.
  16. Is the short reset trigger from Angus production legal?
  17. Mark, this kind of stuff is not helpful. I agree Mike, and by the way, this isn't a lot of effort. If you do not now or ever want to shoot revolver, don't! However, allowing or causing it to die BECAUSE you don't makes no sense. If you don't care, this doesn't concern you. We should probably cut out juniors, seniors and the classification system too? Many small groups exist in our sport. If they do not concern you and do not hurt you, let them be! This isn't to convince you to shoot a division you do not want, it is to allow more that do to enjoy and be competitive in a division they choose! Again, how can this hurt the sport? Can't hurt the sport unless folks begin monkeying with stage design to make revolver shooters "happy."
  18. So change the Division Rules. Just don't change the stage design rules.
  19. No more part of the mission than weeding out dead wood and focusing limited resources on those areas with a real potential for growth.
  20. I cannot understand the logic unpinning the belief that it is the BODs responsibility to round up revolver shooters.
  21. So, any idea when CZ will apply to get Accu Shadow approved?
  22. When you get to therapy after your surgery, the PT can give you exercises that will keep the shoulder firm, strong and flexible - all limited, of course, by the ravages of wear and age.
  23. MG 95g JHP Slow powder to get 1250-1300 fps. Best if your pistol has a steel comp and no popple holes.
