  1. Like Atlas said, cut the fiber long on the rear side and slowly melt it toward the sight, it'll ball up large and glow quite well Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  2. I have a flat trigger that came with my gun, assuming it's a Henning. The overtravel screw isn't quite long enough after I put in the solid trigger pin and lost some slop in the trigger, anyone know the size/threads so I can track down a longer one? Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  3. You mean this old gun by the way, I absolutely love it with 165's just over major pf, shoots like I hoped it would, like an inch of front sight lift. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  4. Beautiful gun man, have fun! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  5. They are coming with coffin cuts in the slide already, I like mine better. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  6. My Tapatalk app isn't working right, but I'm trying to respond to Mr. Postman... You're right, I experienced it at the classifier match 2 weekends back, table stage, Got on the gun very fast, all head shots, Got second overall, just under Master. Gives me high hopes for the gun. Thanks man. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks! I'm sure you know why it is angled instead of square? Next time you do a table start pay attention to where the rest touches the table. The square ones will touch on the forward upper part of the thumb pad which can cause the gun to go grip side down which doesn't help at all. By angling the pad it allows you to get the pivot point closer to the grip which keeps the grip raised instead for a quick grab from the table. Duracote is good stuff! You're right, I experienced it at the classifier match 2 weekends back, table stage, Got on the gun very fast, all head shots, Got second overall, just under Master. 8. Yes Sir, but duracoat. I'm kinda addicted to the thumb rest now. Not sure I can go as fast without it. It's nicer than the factory ones, good job on it. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  9. They are 1/4 inch wide cuts, 8 on top, two on the bottom, total weight removed is 1.8oz. Couldn't test fire it yet but Mr Ortiz ripped through 5 rounds in his shop and the slide moved fast. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  10. Got my Tanfo back from Ortiz custom guns in Savannah today. I'm very happy with it. Slide weighed in at 13.2oz. Was 15oz stock. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  11. I got a Henning gen 4 firing pin and a brand new fpb from eaa, it isn't even close to fitting, seems like lots of material needs to come off the fpb to let the pin pass through. Not looking forward to filing and fitting that sucker. Not even sure where to file yet, can't see what's bumping. The pin won't even go in. Sheesh. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  12. It has 2 roller magnets that hold the dust cover pretty strong. They work. It's an expensive holster but I saw why once I had it. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  13. Manny Brag holster is really nice, just got one. He sent me one to "try it, if you like it, buy it", and there's no way I could send it back. I was hooked. It's really nice and just plain works. Holds onto my Limited frame very well. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  14. My $.02, I don't feel comfortable without a firing pin block. Worst case scenario would be dropping the gun or it falling from the holster and it firing with serious consequences. The way I understand it, the fpb stops the firing pin from moving forward and striking the primer without the trigger being pulled. I like that safety feature. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  15. Wow that does look good Mr. Postman. I found a local place in Savannah that said they could take care of it, Pedro Ortiz shop. Looking forward to getting it done, I'll let y'all know how well it works. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  16. Use a small punch and press the back of the firing pin with the gun in battery and hammer cocked . It shouldn't move more than a 1/8" or less I'm guessing. Hold the hammer back and press the trigger to the rear, push on it again, should pass through much farther. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  17. Hey all, does anyone know of a reputable gunsmith that can cut a bunch of weight off of my hunter slide? I shot my first match with it and found the cycling rate too slow, lots of dip on lockup no matter what spring I use. Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
