    Shadow 2 in LO

Another possibility for the small hand problem. Find or convert to single action only and replace the trigger with a cz made short reach model. They are listed on the CZ European web site. You must find a U.S. dealer to order it for you. This will also get rid of most of the pre-travel.
  2. Most of the cz sights will fit the dovetail. However, some of the sights will leave a gap between the slide top and the bottom of the sight. To make sure the fit is perfect, remove the sight and measure the depth with a caliber. The dimentions are at the top of the dawson cz page.
  3. This happened to me as well. I took the plate out and turned it over on a vise anvil. Took a sharp center punch and put several dimples into the bottom of the dove tail flat of the plate. This raised enough metal to tighten up the fit.
  4. Something is slowing down the slide. The only thing changed is the barrel. What I have done is to reduce the diameter of the barrel between the locking lug area and the bushing. Clamp the muzzle area in the chuck of a drill press. Spin the barrel and apply 80 grit sand paper and reduce diameter approx .020 in. This should keep the barrel from rubbing the slide and slowing it down.
  5. Fully optimized CZ75 SA 40S&W. Stock barrel . Year 2001 model. 150gr SWC Accurate mold. Lubed with caranuba red. 4.1gr. WST. Once fired Speer nickel brass. CCI spp. 50 feet indoors. Very light load.
  6. I use the Kadet 2 which I believe will fit all the regular sized 75 models. There is a specific model for the Shadow 2. Shot this morning. 17 lb hammer spring. 75 sao, no fpb , 2.8 lb trigger. Burris fastfire 3 red dot.
  7. I second CZ85Combat. Back out the trigger over travel screw. The hammer may be rubbing the sear instead of just clearing causing this problem.
  8. They are discontinued this year. I'm sure you could find one. CZ75 BSA in 40 Change out the hammer and sear. Trigger return spring and pin. Trigger of your choice with both take up and over travel screws. That is it. Optional would be removing firing pin block lifter and spring from sear cage and replacing with spacer. Crisp 3 lb pull . CZ Custom has SA lowers without the upper slide. Perfect for building up the perfect Kadet. Kadet 2 .
  9. Greg, To test the firing pin function is very simple. First, no magazine and verify chamber is empty. Get a pencil with an eraser in good shape. Put pencil into muzzle eraser first. Hold gun up to keep eraser down into chamber. Cock hammer and pull trigger. Pencil should pop out of the muzzle from the force of the pin hitting the eraser. If it doesn't then there is a problem with firing pin, spring, roll pin or dirt in pin channel.

    SAO vs DA SA

For me, I like the SAO because I also use a Kadet upper. In SAO I have a crisp 3# pull with a 19 lb main spring. The heavy mainspring allows the Kadet to be completely reliable. No need to use Fed primers in center fire. The CZ SA trigger for small hands brings the trigger to the rear like the curved DA trigger.
  11. I have developed a very accurate and soft minor load for my 40 cal CZ SA. Accurate Molds 150gr SWC (40-150H). 4.1 gr. WST. 50 feet
  12. Milos is great. He special ordered me two SA triggers for small hands. It took a couple of months but I have them and all is good.

    CZ or Remington

There was a guy selling a CZ B SA 40 cal upper on the CZ original forum a week ago or so.

    Red Dot Knockoff

I put one of those plates on a 75 slide. Works great and fits secure. I had to belt sand the forward corners and the forward, left corner of the dove tail. It will really tear up your thumb on a fast slide racking.
