I wish there is something I can attach on the barrel so I can put my support hand thumb over the barrel without worrying of getting burned. On a regular PCC match, its not that bad as it cools down in between stages, but on practice, it can get very uncomfortable.

Thanks for the info, I guess I just need to return this and just get the whole kit with the trigger's sear / discon ... I was really looking forward in getting the adjustable trigger installed but yup, need more parts! thank you all!

Good morning folks! I got bitten by the Ruger PC9 bug an need your help I just bought a Ruger PC9 mainly for competition as I slowly switch division to PCC , (this is my first ever Ruger firearm) I wanted to improve the trigger and bought a kit from ebay. The hammer came with just the adjustable trigger and no sear. Volquartsen Ruger 10/22 22LR 22M Aluminum Target Trigger + TARGET HAMMER KIT I just noticed that there are other items in EBAY saying "WILL NO FIT BX", so I just wanna verify from folks who's already familiar with the PC9, is this something that would work with the PC9? I just got the adjustable trigger, will this work even using the stock sear? Thanks in advance!

I've been using Liquidgrip (black container/blue label) and have worked for me very well, however I shot a match last weekend on a 25-30 deg weather and it stop working, is there any other grip enhancer that would work even on a cold dry temp? cheers!

is the trigger safety catching the frame body? Just try to adjust the pre travel to the longest, then gradually adjust the pre travel until you got the right setting. You could also check if the pad of your finger is really pressing the trigger safety lever and not only the side of the trigger as ZEV trigger is flat and wider than oem.

I'm embarrass to say that in the last 13 months, I have only 1 rifle, and 1 pistol with 2 same slides, which I used in all sanctioned match I've joined last year and all 2-3 local matches each month. Reason is I still got a lot to learn in the physical and mental aspect of the game that I haven't fully optimized the capability of my gun , and of course my financial limitation of instead of buying a new gun, I spent it on bullets, powders, and replacement parts for all the upgrade that I did to keep my equipemnt concsistent, and also keeping the cost of the hobby manageable with my meager income (aka spending won't go pass wife's set limit).

Hi Jimmy, The shell extraction can vary on how hot the load is, lighter loads tend to just go a little bit up and almost fall under the gun, hotter loads goes way to 3:00 to 4:00 position,etc there are also variables like the shape of the extractor claw, but I think you don't need to worry about it as long as all cases are being extracted properly means your gun is cycling ok. about the grip here's a link to a good discussion. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=223919 HTH

Here's my formula for good for about 400 brass cases. About 10 minute process. 1. I put my brass in a transparent bluish plastic bottle container (got from walmart $4 meant for drinking water) 2. Put my brass in and pour in boiling until brass is 1 inch under 3. Let it sit for 5 minutes for water to work on the crud. I don't put lemi -shine at this point at it may turn my brass pink due to brass zinc leak 4. Then shake the container just to keep the brass moving back and fourth 5. Then put 1 tablespoon of Lemi-shine and 2 squirts of dish detergent (tried wash and wax just to see if I could get away not putting using lube but no luck) 6. Shake the container to slightly agitate the brass for about 5 minutes 7. Then rinse until the water becomes clear and not soapy My brass is semi-shiny but not shiny new, but its clean even on the inside including the primer pocket (if I deprime before I do my cleaning process) I used to use stainless pin in my old rotary and run for a long time, I thought its the pin the cleans the primer pocket, base from my process, its the soaking in hot water and lemi shine that does the job. I also use an old towel to remove excess water then on to a dehydrator to dry the case further. Hope this helps

Hi folks, I got a Dillon 650 setup for 9mm, I've already installed a Hit factor low mass detent ball, including the shell plate bearing/washer. The issue with my setup is if the center bolt that holds the shell plate is tighten a bit, the shell plate is not stopping in center (I could see that the primer plate hole is not in center of the shell plate) but it still finds its center when I push the lever forward during seating, but 1/10 I have to jiggle the lever a bit for the shell plate to be in place. I believe the detent ball spring does not have enough power to push the shell plate in place because the center bolt is a little bit tight. That's easy, I can lossen the center bolt just a touch, and it will allow the shell plate will stop in the right place, but it will also cause the shell case to snap into place and spilling a bit of powder. I can't seem to find the balance of how much tight/loose the center bolt is for the shel plate to stop in place and the case not to snap and spill powder. Have anyone encountered this? there seems to be no middle ground, its either I spill powder or not align shell plate. I don;t have the same issue with my old 1050. Thanks in advance!

This is interesting because you can use your own gun/trigger pull and reset .... Is it too loud to be heard in another room? How many round after you refill the cartridge and how many shots before the CO2 cartridge cools down and slide cycle/recoil becomes soft? Thanks!

Grendel is right covering your shooting lens on the non dominant side will force your eyes to focus more... I've also experienced seeing double during dry fire at home, I was worried that my eye sight was failing, then I realized I was just over focusing or over trying to focus on the front sight - so I just relaxed my focus a bit. And seeing double will only happen if your focusing consciously, it'll be gone when you're back in the range or doing your normal dry-fire routine sub-consciously. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Thanks for the response FreeIdaho and JD45 ! what I meant was, just after the stage briefing, is it ok if I stand in a position behind the cover and ask the SO if its an acceptable cover (before he calls it for PE)?In local matches since everybody knew each other I can ask away, but I'm thinking if I could do the same in state matches and if its generally acceptable. Hi all! I'm new to shooting IDPA, I noticed in the 2 level 3 sanctioned match that I went to, I got dinged for cover wherein I know I did not (one I got on video and also recorded other shooters after me who did much worse but wasn't dinged). I understand maybe his angle of sight to me and the other shooter might be different to he called mine. My question is it ok for a shooter to ask RO his threshold for a cover call? Would it be right to ask base on SO etiquette norm? btw, the first time it happened to me, the SO called for cover command but it was almost the same time as I've broke my first shot in the array (then I move back for cover and really unable to see the next target anymore and missed it) I don't wanna be that guy and just wanted to enjoy the rest of the day so I just let it go and charge it to experience. The second one, did not call cover at all, he just told me after the run and ask me if I understand why I got a procedural and point me to the position area where I got the call. even though I started as shooting IPSC, I love IDPA ...its just that moving fault line...which is I'm determined to overcome cheers!

I tried Part 2 and it improved my time by atleast 1.5... this drill is very helpful in trimming your transition time and it really opened up my mind in paying attention to targets and seeing with details unlike the way I see it before, I'm not sure if its just me but once I snap my eyes to the next target and drive my sight to it, as soon as I got my acceptable sight picture and starting to press the trigger (by this time, if my hand does its part, I know my shot will hit the A zone) - then my eyes would snap on to the next for another cycle. My question is, should I aim all through out until the shot breaks like a follow through in golf, or should I continue what I'm doing and snap to the next target without waiting for the shot to break? I know hitting the target is hitting the target but I just want to know what would be beneficial for me in the long run and also to develop the right habit. Cheers!
