  1. Does anybody have any idea when they updated the weights on the Stock II and III pistols? I think they where well over do for updating as i cant remember when the last time i received a stock II under 45oz out of the box. Sorry if this is old news just now catching up to ensure some future projects are not held up. The information below was taken straight from USPSA.org TANFOGLIO Website: www.tanfoglio.it Notes: (Stock Custom model is NOT approved for Production Division) Weights for some Stock II and III pistols changed 91616 Stock II (44 oz.) Stock III 9mm (45.85 oz.) Stock III 9X21 and 38 Super (45.85 oz.) Stock III Xtreme 4.93" Barrel9mm (49.4 oz.) Stock III Special 4.93" Barrel 9 (49.4 oz.) Stock III (witness Elite) 4.93" (49.4 oz.) Stock II Xtreme 4.50" barrel 9mm (47.6 oz.) Stock II L 4.93" barrel 9mm 9X21 (49.4 oz.) Stock II (Witness Elite Stock II (47.6 oz.) Notice how they specifically call out the "Witness Elite Models" for the Stock II and III pistols. I always recall the 44oz number being thrown around but that more than likely was based off a small frame pistol.
  2. Waktasz is correct, the BOLO does not change the reset (letting the trigger back out until the trigger bar jumps back in front of the sear leg on SA is what dictates that. The BOLO reduces/eliminates pre-travel.
  3. I’ve already sent an email asking..... I guess it’ll depend how Tanfo markets it to IFG and if the powers to be at USPSA see it as the same platform.
  4. I’m hoping the same price point as before..... we’ll see as we’ve been hoping this would happen for a month or so and IFG just got the word that it’s going to happen. Hopefully we’ll have more details at SHOT show when these things are discussed in more details.
  5. Milling is for sure the only way to go with red dots.... its crazy how low you can get these in the slide. Sight picture is way easier to acclimate to if your an iron sight guy. We'll be offering this in the next few weeks.... just finalizing what all optics will work on the tanfo platform
  6. FYI- It appears Tanfo is back to putting GEN 1 trigger bars back into at least the guns IFG is bringing in...... the last 4-5 guns have had GEN 1 bars....... This is why we have not made another run of BOLO's for GEN 2 Bars..... they re absolutely all over the place
  7. this is absolutely correct, good info MM
  8. working on that now........ it for sure wont be cheap.......
  9. The below information is straight from the product page, further more if you should need more help feel free to call and we'll assist in anyway we can. Seems like your on the right track now....... As we've stated numerous times before SoCal is his own free spirit and is not employed by Patriot Defense Im going back to milling more tanfo slides now........... NOTE – For a trouble free install with the BOLO interrupter we recommend you have the Xtreme Sear and Titan Hammer installed on your pistol. These two items are a must if your looking for a trouble free install on your firearm. Please read the below product description before purchasing. Some pistols will require fitting due to the vast amount of machining tolerance variations in these pistols. The supplied pin is designed to float in the hammer pin holes, use grease to aid in assembly and keep the pin from falling out. Please contact us should you have any question regarding fitting or modifying your BOLO Installation Directions- Check single action function, first. SA should drop and reset with the slide on. If SA does not break or reset, remove material from angle 1, following the natural curve of the interrupter. This also applies if SA breaks, but does not reset. Check double action function. If DA does not break remove material from angle 2. CAUTION: This is an extremely sensitive part of the process; if you do not feel comfortable attempting this, please have a qualified gunsmith fit this part or send your firearm to Patriot Defense for proper fitting.
  10. On a quest to make a Stock III CO legal........ Loosing the optic mount not only allowed us to shave .7oz but also allows the sight to sit super low in the slide. Stand by for updates.
  11. messed around recently with a "shop" gun that we had a spare barrel for and actually reamed it .250" passed what SAAMI spec is....... accuracy maintained as before but we did loose a little bit of velocity probably due to gas escaping from around the projectile. At the end of the day the bearing surface of pistol bullets and the length of the barrels they're launched from will have no issues stabilizing bullets even with an extra long throated barrel .
  12. They're really great triggers, little dab of loctite once you have your screws set and your good to go.
  13. @JohnStewart send the gun back and we’ll be happy to look at it for you. We stand behind our work and even if it’s not on our end we’ll help you get through it!
  14. Tuning or changing out the Firing Pin Spring will you give you a bit more energy into the firing pin as well.
  15. the story of our LIFE!!!!! Sometimes we wonder why we do it to ourselves....... However the tanfo crowd is a good bunch.
  16. The newer mag releases are indeed shorter...... even the spares we get from EAA are the same pictured above on the Stock I
  17. Highly unlikely that IFG will ever be able to import any gun that EAA has/is importing..... The Stock I is a pretty nice pistol, its based off a Stock III just a bit shorter. We'll be doing a full write up some time this weekend on our thoughts. So far all the guns we have received have had the lightest DA/SA numbers out of the box compared to any other Tanfo Model. Still not under 10lbs for DA but its close, so things are looking promising. Other than that its made by the same company, so dont expect to many differences other than the new slide serrations and subtle changes here and there. Teaser pic.....
  18. Tip of the day - If you have a BOLO the pin works perfectly as a slave pin for holding the TRS into place and installing the trigger pin back in the frame.....
  19. Thats awesome getting the future of our shooting sports out there. Way to go DAD!
