It's just......different. Fun trying something else other than open & limited. Variety being the spice and all that. I think it comes down to goals. If you want to class as high as possible, jumping around in divisions won't help much. But if you are having fun, changing divisions is like shooting an entirely different game every time.

Great looking guide rods! I keep finding stuff I want to buy at PD! Started a new list last night, while a box from PD was waiting for me in my mailbox.

Keep the orders coming and we'll keep your mailbox full...... we promise

It's hard to get an accurate measure with my cheapo digital calipers but it seems like the hooks are a few thou longer on the titan. If I knew anything about real gunsmithing and had the proper jig I'd stone them down a bit but that's not likely to happen in my garage.

Your on to something about the hooks being longer on the Titan...... guess it's time to go into production with our hammer jig for cutting the hooks back

Thank you for the explanation. I assumed the floating pin was integral to the design. I was also unaware that the pins are different in diameter.

No problem, Yes the factory roll pins are slightly over sized which is why they have to be beat into place and honestly would be a pain to do when first fitting the BOLO into a gun if it didnt just drop right in.

Can you elaborate? I've thought about trying the factory pin in an effort to remove the tiny amount of creep. Is the floating pin just used to reduce the probability of fitting being required by allowing a few thousandths of play or is it integral to the design?

If you drill the BOLO out and use the factory pin you will loose the ability to achieve the "zero" pre-travel in SA. The sear will not reset and will require you to remove more material from the curve inducing pre-travel in your SA pull. The pin to hole fitment was designed to have the "play" in it to allow components to reset while still maintaining the short pull/reset....... this is the reason you buy the BOLO..... sure some have drilled the holes out and their gun still functions fine.... but i can assure you they have induced pre-travel into there SA pull.

How deep into the ceiling will the gun bury a pencil when equipped with your grips?

    ;)

a two story house is required..... because it optimizes the Yin & Yang of the metal particulars in the gun frame and causes a much harder grip squeeze which in turn transfers more energy to the firing pin.....

    Those look sweet!

How long until we can take fancy pictures with our own palm swell grips?

Just finalizing and working with some different stipple textures on the Palm Swell version, they fit the hand rather nicely. Once we're closer we'll of course give you guys better details on our dealer sub forum.

    When are these available, Joe?

Just making some small tweaks to the designs now, and of course running them through some torture test to ensure positive results to the end user. Increased the shoulder diameter slightly to give it a larger bearing face in the frame.

Hey that reminds me of my life hack for the plunger strut pin...

If you rocket that little bastard into intergalactic orbit, take a large paperclip and cut a small portion that will fit into the plunger strut and allow the plunger shoe to move properly.

I've been Like that for about 1k rounds. I Don't Like it, but it works

Speaking of plunger assemblies, have any of you guys seen the ones that come with an E-clip securing the the shoe to the plunger rod? Just wandering when they moved away from the small pin to this new E-clip design....

I've noticed plenty of this.  I have two large frame Stock II's.  One new school with a flatter beavertail and more pronounced backstrap hump.  The trade-offs I've noticed after installing EGG light and now PD14 along with Xtreme trigger, Titan hammer, Xtreme sear are the following.  The newer gun has tighter slide to frame fit, smoother DA pull with less pronounced stacking.  But the inside of the mag well area is tighter than the older gun.  I tuned them with identical parts yet the older gun sends a pencil 2" higher in DA and almost 3" higher in SA.  I've never had any issues setting off CCI, X-Treme, S&B and Federal and my pull weights are little under 7 and 3 lbs.  EGD light would need to be swapped out every 3000 rounds but so far PD14 is holding up.  Also I've tried EGD medium using stock firing pin in a Limited Pro.  Pops everything.  I think the market could use a PD15!  The feel of your springs are superior.

Appreciate this information..... Good review of what a lot of folks are battling

What I don't quite understand is how such vast differences there can be between 2 different guns of the same model?  Are these Tanfo's not CNC'ed on the exact same machines?  If so, how in the world can the tolerances and such be so different?  Anyone have any insight on this?

Its highly likely that Tanfoglio has multiple CNC machines as well as operators. Tooling wears down over time as well as fixtures and jigs causing tolerances to increase in critical areas. The majority of parts used in the gun seem to be cast parts which are known to not be outstanding for keeping tight tolerances. On top of that there seems to be design changes that take place on the frames every so often from the factory and we have no idea when or why this occurs.
