Fix for the snapping shellplate on a 650
Berzerker replied to Alan Adamson's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
+1, but to Belgium i tried local supliers, but couldn't find it, or a imperial measurements alternative. -
I've seen this room for real, and it is no way as tidy as in the pictures great set up though

I think so, but they're not for everyone. First off, you have to be comfortable with the fact that the muzzle is out there in the breeze. If you're okay with that the price becomes and issue. You can spend less money and get the Ghost or Limcat and they offer pretty similar capabilities. The Ribas cost more because of the smaller details like the materials, ability to take the holster off the belt with the gun in it, more adjustable draw tension etc. The only way to really decide for yourself is to get one in your hand and compare. R, +1 I love my Gugas. But there are some drawbacks - no pun intended. 1: they're well worth their money, but not cheap 2: they can be adjusted in so many ways, it takes a while before you get them positioned 'just right' 3: yes, the muzzle is 'out there' .no problem for me, but others may think different about that I also have a ghost. Great holster, and when you take the price in acount, maybe even a better purchase than the guga. but i still prefer the guga. uptill now, my gun never fell out of the guga, but i had some narrow escapes whit the ghost in the end it's up to your taste

Micrometer-type device for powder bar
Berzerker replied to medic21's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I had some e-mails from Lee Love of Uniquetek that didn't reach me. I guess spam filters were to blame ( what do expect with "Lee Love" as sender ) I'm from outside US as well, namely Belgium, Europe, and Lee was quite willing to do bussiness with me. of course, he might be on a holiday... -
Micrometer-type device for powder bar
Berzerker replied to medic21's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
+ 1 for the uniquetek Lee Love is a great guy to deal with ! When I asked him, he even designed a special set up for his micrometer powderbar to be used with the arredondo powderbar. the Arredondo powderbar with the micrometer is now in his catalogue. -
+1 on the uplula it may not be so much faster than loading by hand, but those last rounds are a lot easier! It's comfort is it's real bonus. also not being caliber/clip specific is a great plus. I also thought I lost mine, and thought of ordering 2 other ones, but I luckely found it back. Now it's attached to my rig. Still thinking of getting that spare

Guga Ribas pouches do have one flaw They can be positioned/adjusted in almost every angle/position imaginary, and some you wouldn't want to dream of, that it is in fact much harder to postition them just perfectly, than say a standard duty pouch just kidding, those guga pouches.

OK, a bit late - I had so much work and other stuff happening, plus I wanted to use my new toy to give some real feedback - but here it is. As I already told the good folks at uniquetek : it's probably the best money I ever spend on reloading equipement. It completely eliminates the bit of the reloading proces i loathed : the guesswork in setting up a new load. Guessing - educated guesses, but still - how much to adjust the powder bar, checking the load, making another adjustment in the powderbar setting, checking the new setting,...., and so on till you get it right. Enter the micometer powder bar: decide on a new load, enter the wanted amount of powder in your calibration spread sheet ( making this takes about 10 minutes and only has to be done once ) and set your micometer to the gotten setting. (Always!) Check the load, and find that it is right , every time For the Arendondo powder bar Lee Love had to engineer a different method for installing his micrometer. He did a fantastic job, it looks reliable and refined. Lee told me he now sells the arendondo bars with his mircometer pre-installed. I now have played round quite a bit with it, loaded a fair amount of ammo, and the consistency and predicatability saves quite a bit of time and agrivation while setting up a new load. ps : I also installed uniquetek's toolhead clamp set. I ran into some difficulties instaling it. I decided to phone uniquetek and five miutes later the problem was identified and solved.

Guga Ribas works great for me. Admitted, setting it up just right takes a while, because it has so many "adjustables" in the holster as the pouches, but once you get there, it's the closest thing you can get to perfection.

Case Trimmers And Primer Pocket Tools?
Berzerker replied to austinkroe's topic in Miscellaneous BEginners
I've basicly only reloaded S&B brass for my 45. Never had any problems with it. My load is not particulary hot and I have some cases that must have past my press more than 30 times. The first time reloading them, it's is a bit harder, but not a real problem in .45. What i usualy do - when I feel lik it - is to go through the primer pocket with a primer brush ( believe it's a RCBS) mounted on an electric screwdriver before the first time I reload them. I guess that the s&b primer pocket is more troublesome in 9 mm, as clubmates that reload 9mm, don't like the s&b brass. But they will use them when they can't find anyting else on the floor -
I got an M frame with two RX shields, one clear and one dark. The RX inserts are cut into the shield. + : less distortion by using only 1 lens (per eye) clearer sight - : if damaged/ new prescription, the whole shield+ RX has to be replaced not cheap (especially here in Europe) every shield you use, needs it's own rx "treatement" >> even more expensive I sure love My Oakley's, and probably will stay with Oakley when they need to be replaced, but will have a look into "cheaper" alternatives
