My 1050 is automated but I haven't seen the need to add the bearing plate. What do people say the benefit is?

I think a lot of builders use longer pins to reduce the likelihood of the gun not going "bang" when it should. It's easy upgrade..

I buy them from speed shooters international. BTW my gun builder recommends always using Wolff Extra Power firing pin springs with the longer firing pins.

I have used the CK arms and McLearn XL firing pins and am super happy with them. No issues at all.

Im a huge fan of the Uniquetek micro but really anything that will allow you to set a specific (visually) charge would be good.

A tip for you..Just remember that the 1050 primes on the down stroke. Do not push up or you run the risk of knocking the priming arm out of whack. Ask me how I know...

I think I have used them all and have settled on the lucas brand lube. It doesn't burn off like some of the other brands out there.

Because I have big hands and the right hand safety would dig into it and prevent me from gripping the gun very high. Once I replaced the safety, I was able to grip the gun about a 1/4 (if not more) inch higher which gave me a better grip and control of the gun.

That is a tough one. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted due to my hand shape and size. The biggest thing I learned was that when I removed the ambi safety, I gained much more control of the gun and was more accurate.

I would also check the diameter of the new pin VS the old to make sure they are the same diameter. For what it is worth, I know a lot of builders like to use Matt McLearn pins as they are a little longer and larger in diameter. Lastly, most builders I know like to use wolf extra power firing pin springs.

I have seen this with wet tumbled brass and I switched to the lee sizer with a squirrel daddy pin and the issue went away. The pin could be worn down or the spring at the top of the die may need to be replaced.

The wilson high ride is pretty popular but I recently converted to single side safeties because they dug into my hand and it affected my grip.

Not that I am aware of. Seems impractical to make a 2011 that takes glock mags since the platform was designed to run rounds to 1.245 and the max length you can load in a glock mag is around 1.135.
