  1. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's probably both. JUST KIDDING! BTW the info in that link is awesome! Thanks for posting.
  2. Get your barrel slugged and choose a bullet that is .001 over the ID of your barrel.
  3. Hi All. I am trying to order a custom holster for an STI Duty one (no longer made) and need to get the measurement that you see below. The TRP with a half rail appears to be the closest match. Thank you!
  4. Lower the handle and raise the shell plate to the top. Screw the die in until it touches the plate and tighten the locking ring,
  5. Bummer. I found a video that gives you a good idea what compressor can be used. Aren't there auto parts stores that loan tools? Autozone? Oreilly? http://www.practical-shotgun.com/beretta-1301-gas-valve
  6. Wheeler makes some nice tool kits and I bought the one below via amazon. For polishing, I recommend using 1000 and then 2000 grit and finishing with wenol or flitz with felt and a dremel. Go slow and try not to remove any metal. Just polish. https://www.amazon.com/Wheeler-Space-Saver-Screwdriver-Set/dp/B000RZG5NY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1546800434&sr=8-5&keywords=wheeler+screwdriver+set Universal block - https://www.amazon.com/Impresa-Products-Universal-Bench-Block/dp/B01HH202Q0/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1546800699&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=gunsmithing+block&psc=1 Punches - https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-Gunsmith-Punch-18-Piece-66564/dp/B012TKY0VI/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1546800755&sr=8-13&keywords=punches Hammer - https://www.amazon.com/Grace-USA-Gunsmithing-Gunsmith-Accessories/dp/B00UOVOT48/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1546800792&sr=8-3&keywords=gunsmith+hammer Loupe - https://www.amazon.com/Bausch-Lomb-Watchmaker-Loupe-10x/dp/B000LDG2HQ/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1546800838&sr=8-5&keywords=10x+loop
  7. I have never had an issue with mine running light loads but I did break the gun in using HV loads and I have heard others have done the same thing with success. How many rounds do you have through it?
  8. This is the link I was looking for. The OP's ejector doesn't appear to have any angle cut into the face of the it. This would be something I would address first.
  9. I use it in every gun I own and it works great. It doesn't burn off like others I have used.
  10. I'm not going to lie, I hated the vibra prime until a shooting buddy told me how to use it. Now I use it every time I load ammo and think it does a pretty good job. I'll be doing that mod to make it even better. Thanks for taking the time.
  11. It's a great trigger that is very well made. I really like that you can adjust the length of the trigger.
  12. This project was a long time coming and I finally got around to sending my .40 STI Duty one off to APW for hard chrome and Middlebranch Machine for the barrel TiN coating. The ignition is all EGW and the trigger breaks clean at 2.5lbs. The bonus for this project was the Dawson magwell that I got from this forum in a straight-up trade! I think it turned out pretty nice and it is a great shooter.
  13. Glad hear you got it sorted out! Enjoy your new rig!
  14. Thats crimp should be ok. You should still call Bobby but also check your mag springs and the feed lips on your mags just to be safe. Maybe even install a new mag spring to see if that solves the problem.
  15. It may be the extractor but call Bobby and he will probably help you out. BTW you may want to order an extra power firing pin spring. The firing pin should not be visible at rest and yours appears to be stuck or protruding.
  16. Im a big fan of the lage stock. http://www.max-11.com/MPX Stocks.html
  17. Maybe there is debris in the gun? I would pull the hammer and sear to look at the engagement surfaces under a 10X loop to see what everything looks like. If they are stock parts, you may be surprised what you see.
  18. Welcome. I like turtles and nacho cheese sauce..
  19. You may want to flush that WD 40 out of there as it will eventually gum up.
  20. I have an isler on my MPX and can attest that it is extremely well made and solid.
  21. Congrats on the new toy! I am sure there is a clever way to do it but I never found it necessary. Let it work while you load ammo.
