An Asian American, USMC veteran, father and volunteer at matches aalllll over the place. He is also a decent competitor, not just someone who works the timer because they can't shoot. I know him in real life.

Yeah, He is a good guy. I shot with him for about 3 years and know him to be solid.  I voted for him and am happy to see him leading the sport.

I saw it on the internet so it must be true.....

I've seen 3 Glocks with 100K rounds and cracked slides. It ain't just interweb rumors.

A 17lb main spring is plenty strong enough. Ran one in the same gun for 20k rounds. The firing pin is going to be the standard .068" small diameter one.

The gun I pictured had EGW internals, 17ob main spring, 12lb recoil spring and whatever firing pin spring came with the Wolff recoil spring. It set off CCI small rifle primers all day every day.

We, prasky gunworks, and I did a LOT of testing what parts worked the best with these guns. Belive me the stock internals (all of them) are junk. Toss it all out. Keep barrel, slide, sights, frame, mag release, MSH. it's all poor quality MIM.

It's my understanding that all Wolff recoil springs come with an extra power firing pin spring.

are the factory 21rd sig's the go-to for uspsa carry optics?  with the factory basepads?

Yes but you have to grind a portion of the pad away to make them fit. It's pretty easy and I think the guy from "go fast, don;t suck" did a video on it.

so its okay this way even on a variable recoil spring like wollf or ismi?

I tested 1911 springs and used 1911 wolff variable and others that seemed to work fine. I settled on a Spirnco 12lber.

I have scoured your loadsheets many times, and just not coming up with a comparable combo unless Sport Pistol meters similar to N320........

And it does appear, your heavier JHP/FMJ/CMJ bullets are working well with Sport Pistol.  Unfortunately all I have to work with is N320 and the Zero 147JHP combo.  Even though I'm retired, it's a major endeavor to test at length since the range for chrono work and my friends Ransom Rest are in two different, far between, locations.

    I do appreciate your feedback!

    :)

I have a fair amount of n320 and 147 zero load data that was used for an sp01. If you send me a PM with your email address, I can send it to you.

To net the results, 3.5GR of n320 made 130PF loaded at 1.125. ES of 21, AVG velocity 889. I have load data from 3.1-3.5

In Production USPSA the start must be done with hummer down, i.e. heavy pull on first shot.

Did switch to Cajun 11.5# hummer spring, reduced power firing pin spring, reduced power trigger return spring.

After about 2 training matches got an issue at "If Clear, Hammer Down, Holster": firing pin just got stuck in the slide!

It is not obvious till "Make Ready" on next stage: firing pin stop plate falling out on the ground! luckly pin still inside the slide so it is not ballistic out by pin spring.

Gun slide was cleaned at the end of very training, i hope there is no too much residue left inside firing pin channel.

What could be wrong? Too weak firing spring (SKU:97041)?

If i will go back to original CZ Shadow 2 firing spring the hummer spring could be out of power balance.

Will extended firing pin solve the issue?

    Any ideas, please.

Contact CGW regarding that spring. I thought they had transitioned to the 97045 and away from the 97041 for the s2 without an extended firing pin.
